I called the Missouri State Board of Nursing and there is NO WAY to expunge a black mark on your nursing license!

So I cut up my nursing license and threw it in my trash!

John Kuthe, NOT a nurse anymore...

Good. You've made some progress. Many people gain qualifications and
either never use them, or come to the realisation a qualification
doesn't suit them.

And don't rely on the idea of working for a cannabis shop... John, you
really need a menial job with minimal responsibilities. I understand
you would like to do work that's interesting to you, but you'll never
get a job sticking to that ideal.

Just get any old job you can get... try it and see how it works out
for you. You might be surprised how it benefits you.

Yup, it's actually sad to see...

I know many nurses who struggled like hell to finally get their credentials, good jobs, and
then onto a very nice life... many of them immigrants who came here with nothing, they did not have
the advantages in life that John had, including that once - big inheritance...

John OTOH threw it all away, he's really a waste of oxygen...

Just when Minnesota is paying $275/hour for traveling nurses. Hop over to Illinois for a fresh license. A portrait of Ben Franklin should grease the way!

Jeßus gave you some valuable information and you'd be wise to heed
it. Don't sit around and say to yourself "woe is me, I'm not a nurse any
longer so I won't even try to find other employment." You CAN find
employment if you pull yourself together, reign in the me!, me!, me!
and don't brag to people nor hit on any females if you should land
a job.

If you tone it down and find employment you might actually enjoy
working in a field different than what you are trained. You might
even make some friends if you can control your impulses.

People also ask:

Is flatus and fart the same?

Flatulence, commonly referred to as 'farting', is caused by gas in the bowel.

Ordinarily, the intestines produce between 500 and 2,000mls of gas, which is passed out of the anus at regular intervals.

The gas, or 'flatus', consists of a number of gases including methane, nitrogen and carbon dioxide.

What do the British call a fart?

Colloquially, flatulence may be referred to as "farting", "pumping", "trumping", "blowing off",
"pooting", "passing gas", "breaking wind", "backfiring", or simply (in American English) "gas"
or (British English) "wind".

Derived terms include vaginal flatulence, otherwise known as a queef.

You think THAT'S why you're not getting a job?

You need to request "inactive" or "retired" status. Cutting up your
license doesn't do shit - it's only symbolics of the $100K your
father, may he finally RIP, spent sending you to nursing school.
After he spent $400K putting you through college for nothing to
become of that either.

I am not right wing. Just because I criticise one 'side' doesn't
automatically mean I support the other 'side'.

Right now, it's the Democrats that are the real problem. So I am
mostly critical about them at this time. In years gone by, I railed
against the GWB administration. I dislike both Democrats and
Republicans - same neocon shit, different flavour. Trump belongs in
neither camp, which is why he appeals to so many.

Nursing licenses can be transferred to any state.
Any nurse knows this. It is usually transferred within days.

Unless the license has been revoked or cancelled. That's the only

I would suggest he start out as a door greeter at a store like

Hell, even jane's dope store would be classier with a registered,
well known local cannabis nurse greeting customers. They would
recognize his purple hat immediately.

That's why he won in 2016. Someone different for a change and worth a
try. That worked for me.

The press and many other politicians didn't want an outsider so he got
very unfair press the entire time. He wasn't a great president but he
fought criticism the entire time and he almost won again.

Looks like he might try again in 2024. I doubt he'll win but he will

What did we know about Donald Trump in 2016? We knew that he'd
driven a bunch of companies into bankruptcy, that he was mainly
famous for being on a "reality" TV show, that he was good at revenge

How does that add up to "He's worth a try"? Especially that last item,

Probably the time that he left the kid home alone, and left without

Well, sure. He's different in the sense he's not part of the
establishment. But mostly I think it was a vote against Hillary.

I think he did OK considering that he had the entire establishment
(including media) against him. Things were moving in the right
direction again - energy independence, returning manufacturing to the
US, etc.

Why? Currently he's dominating the polls. Still, 2024 is a long way
off. There will be no Biden at the next election. They can't use
Harris, as she's very unpopular. Something will come along between now
and 2024, in a bid to stop Trump and/or Republicans. Don't be
surprised if Hillary has the gall to enter they fray again.

He's worked since then, so I don't think that was the reason for the

Is there anyone here who knows someone who has worked at Walmart?

I'm channeling our resident hawaiian and pretty much guessing with no

I read they were doing away with them. The greeter was usually an older
retired person, often seated because of age and ability. Sort of a hire
the handicapped gesture.

I have not seen a Walmart greeter for a while. I used to avoid Walmart
like the plague but I have relented. A few years ago I needed something
from Canadian Tire. I had gone over by motorcycle and had a knapsack to
carry my purchases. I also had a cell phone, a digital camera and a pair
of prescription sunglasses in it. They insisted that I had to check my
pack at the courtesy counter. I didn't want to. I did not want to have
to stand and wait to check it in and then stand and wait to get it back
and I didn't want to leave that stuff in their hands. They insisted on
treating me like a probably shoplifter, so I left. I went next door to
Walmart with my pack over my shoulder and the greeter greeted me with a
smile and a "welcome to Walmart".

I'm a Dollar Tree man although I really dislike the shopping experience anywhere. I dread it. I dread it so much I put it off. I can handle shopping for food. I put that under a different category. Shopping for clothes is rough. Shopping for things I know little about is worse. From now on it's mostly the thrift stores for me. I'm not in love with shopping there either, but quality stuff can be found at affordable cost. This thread has a negative vibe to it - or what most would see as negative - but that's what drew me in. It started out with people talking about work and the many complaints it inspires and drifted down to shopping at Walmart. I say if a person can get by without working they shouldn't feel the need for a job. But that's me.

When I went back to Allentown PA from CA in 91 I put applications in all over town and couldn't get hired. Anything, donuts shops, factories, whatever. Then finally one Friday I got a call from one of the factories. In the meantime I had managed to acquire minimum welfare, enough to pay my rent. I gave plasma for drinking money. Anyway, this guy calls and says the job is mine and I start Monday. I was already into the booze and knew I'd never make it. Plus I didn't want to work. I wasn't even hired and already felt like I had to make excuses for my every move. I told the guy, "Uh, I'd like to start Monday, but I'm sorry I can't because (pause), my mother died." The guys says, "Uh, Mr. Joseph, according to your application here, your mother died 10 years ago", and I said, "Uh yes, that's true - but it didn't really hit me till today." .... I made up that last past. The rest is true, that as long as I've got the bare minimum and can get by without work, I'm on top of the world - my own little world at least. I can talk about work all day, how it's just another form of bumming and how anybody who works is wearing chains and when they make more money all they do is buy a more expensive set of them. To me it's an interesting topic.

One of my former co-workers has worked part-time at Walmart for 25
years. He's always worked a day shift.

The Walmart I shop at pretty much has someone at the front doors but
they don't greet anyone. Others that I've shopped at have no one at the
front entrance.

The reality is that my guesses are based on solid facts. My guess that electric vehicles will be used as backup power sources and that electric planes will be used for interisland trips between the Hawaiian islands and short range travel only sound like it's based on "no actual facts" to people that haven't kept up with advances/ideas in technology.

Nice stores but my issue with them is just too darn large.
Would be nice to wear a pair of roller skates or use a skateboard when
shopping there.

Without the skating, bring a canteen with you. Would be nice if they
offered a map of the store so you wouldn't have to walk back and forth
for miles.

My local Food Lion has a store map telling you what aisle food items are
on. It's a real time saver. IMO, ALL large stores should provide maps.
