If such an event ever were to transpire, what would give the police the
idea to ask for your help?

Surely they have a file on him already because of the incident when he
spent the night in jail a few years ago. If that panned out, they would
ask the local hospitals to see what name he last gave on the admission
form where it asks 'In case of Emergency, please contact:'. Didn't he get
checked out by a police shrink after the 'Uzi' affair?

I really doubt they would need to perform an Internet search to see your
most magnanimous offer above.

You *could* probably take a minute to tell us about it if you notice it
