Grilled catfish fillet with pineapple salsa.

Puff-pastry wrapped asparagus (with grilled onions, American cheese, and Dijon).

Anything in puff pastry is good! :-)

I've never seen asparagus in puff pasty, interesting!! Fish looks mighty
good, too.

I surely wish I had a problem with having too much fresh asparagus! ;)

It's nice to be able to get decent asparagus and an affordable price
most of the year, but it sure is nice to have freshly picked local
asparagus.

I always hope there will be enough left over for lunch...... asparagus
cheese dreams. Lighly toast some bread lay some cheddar or even
plastic cheese on top, top with cooked asparagus and broil until the
cheese melts.

Dave, you're supposed to remove the plastic first on those
cheese slices. You must have missed the memo.

That does sound good.

Why? Does it affect the flavour?

It's wonderful. I don't know why everyone is not aware of this treat.
Maybe they just don't ever have leftover asparagus.

I don't consider inflicting cheese on poor, inoffensive asparagus to
be a treat. ;)

I rarely have leftover asparagus (always grilled), but I generally just
eat it cold or put it on a salad.

I'd would have never thought of cheese and asparagus, they just don't sound
like they 'go together.' But about a hundred years ago I was on a sequestered
jury and we were being fed by the sheriff's housekeeper and cook. An asparagus
casserole was on the menu and it was simply delicious. But no cheese involved.

Those plastic wrapped slices are not real cheese... I'd rather have my
asparagus on toast with melted string cheeze.

I love asparagus but they don't love me... they make my pee schtink.

I like asparagus raw with a sour cream and dried onion soup dip.
