Karl Marx once said: “The oppressed are allowed once every few years

That was Kark Marx. Not Bernie Sanders, as we managed to eke by with just a narrow margin over Shillary here in Missouri!! Yay!! And I helped!!

Guys that use three exclamation points and ALL CAPS!!! I've seen these guys campaigning in Hawaii. What a rag-tag group. Mostly young disenfranchised types and older disenfranchised types. Do you understand what primaries are about? I can see not voting
Republican in November, but in the primary you can vote so as to
have the least damaging candidate selected by the nominating
convention, so they will appear on the November ballot. That way,
even if the Republican is elected, you've minimized the harm.

Before all of the Republicans jump in my shit here, let me say that
I was putting myself in the place of someone for whom Republicans
are odious. I vote for a mixed slate of candidates.

the point is that if you vote for Kasich? as a Republican you possibly
deny a win in that state for Trump. Less wins means that maybe Trump
will not get enough to be automatically nominated as the Republican
candidate. And perhaps there will be a less scary candidate put forth
by the Republicans.

In some states it is necessary to register for a party to vote in the primary. If one has no intention of registering for either party one is effectively dis-enfranchised.

If I were a Democrat I would fervently hope that the Republicans do
nominate Trump. His nomination will split the party and possibly
enable the Democrats to recapture the Senate as well as the House by
disuading a huge section of the Republican electorate from going to
the polls at all in November. Does anyone remember the Goldwater
candidacy? I do.

Some people call voting an "obligation", for some it's a right, for
others, it's a privilege. And then you have those people that consider
it to be the most radical political act of their lifetime. The real
truth may lie somewhere in between - but I doubt it.

Democracy doesn't really exist. Elections are a silly game with a lot
of lying, carrying on and wasting money by a few millionaires that you
can vote for. When I vote, I do so because there's no alternative to
this "democracy"*, not because I take it very seriously.

That sums up my position also. Any genuinely honest, ethical and

rising to the top in any westernised 'democratic' country. Only

Yes. Here, we do not have a primary but a caucus. We are not required to
declare a party to register but to submit to the caucus (which is sort of
like voting but not exactly), we must declare. My lawyer friend assures me

Sanders is the stronger general election candidate. The RCP average has
Clinton beating Trump by 6.3 points, but Sanders beating him by 10.0 points.
Clinton voters will nearly all vote for Sanders in the general, as they are
typically self-identified Democrats, whereas independents are far more likely
to vote for Sanders than for Clinton. That also goes for nutjob lefties (a
small percentage of voters), and for young voters, who are gaga for Bernie.
http://usuncut.com/politics/bernie-sanders-worst-states-behind/

Sanders has energized younger voters, and a Sanders candidacy/win, will give
an entire generation a connection to the Democratic Party. You ever think
about the fact that Hillary RODHAM Clinton kept using her "Goldwater Girl"
name?
http://www.snopes.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/goldwater.jpg
She has a perfectly nice middle name. It happens to be Diane. Yet she uses
the name of her unrepentant Republican father.

A person like you, Medavis Troll, who uses the word, "faggot," would feel
quite at home at a Trump rally.

No, Dave, it's a vote for the Democratic nominee, who could well be Sanders.
Most of the states left to vote are quite Bernie friendly. Don't forget the margins by which Bernie won in Nebraska, Colorado, Maine, Vermont (Bernie's
home state) and especially in Kansas.

Clinton hasn't won big anywhere outside the old Confederate states. She just
barely won Illinois (where she was born), Massachusetts and Missouri. This
isn't a horse race, and Hillary, *bless her heart*, isn't really winning when
nearly every state where she runs strong has already voted.

One thing we can say is that Sanders overperformed in Michigan, and Clinton
overperformed in Ohio. Clinton's lead could well narrow, then vanish, as
more states vote. This thing is far from over.

Conservatives never caused the Flint crisis - it has been solidly in Dem
hands for decades.

http://www.nationalreview.com/article/429803/flint-water-scandal-democratic-pattern

How many Flints until we learn our lesson? Flint, Mich., has been
poisoning its residents. The city, in an attempt to save money, planned
to stop buying water from Detroit and sign up with a regional water
system; in the interim, it was getting its municipal water from the
Flint River, which is as much a garbage dump as it is a body of water.
Residents complained that the water smells of chemicals, that it isn’t
the right color, etc. Children’s lead levels are dangerously high, and
an outbreak of Legionnaires’ disease may also be linked to city water.
The city knew about this, and did approximately nothing in response
until the problem was well advanced. A word that is curiously scarce in
coverage of this disaster: Democrat. Flint, like big brother Detroit
down the way, has a long history of political dominance by the
Democratic party. Its current mayor is a Democrat; so was her
predecessor; the mayor before him, Don Williamson, was a career criminal
(he did time for various scams some years back) and a Democrat who
resigned under threat of recall; his immediate predecessor, Democrat
James W. Rutherford, is a longtime politico and was elected to finish
out the term of Woodrow Stanley, who was recalled because of the
financial state in which he left the city.

Stanley was in effect replaced by — Democrat — Darnell Earley, former
director of the Democratic legislative caucus’s research-and-policy
team, who became the city’s emergency manager. Earley is the Democrat
the other Democrats blame for changing the city’s water supply, and the
Michigan Democratic party has demanded his termination. The Obama
administration knew about this, too, and had known for a long time,
since February of last year at least — but it chose to keep quiet on the
matter.
