You could just shit the fuck up, too. Even *I* do that sometimes.

ObFood: I ate a 24oz jar of pickled herring in 10 hours tonight.

I'm curious about what % daily-recommended sodium that represents.

Seriously Steve, I would rather you remain a respected pillar of amicable
wisdom in our community here.

I suppose it's okay if you were also swilling American beer.

According to the Vita label, a 2 oz serving is 440mg, 18% of sodium
intake. So, looks like 216% in 24 oz. Did you have chips with them?

I'd skip the bacon for breakfast and ham sandwich for lunch that day.

I checked it online. A one cup serving has 1218 mg. 51% of the RDA for
sodium.
The dietitian told me to always check the nutrition information labels
and to avoid anything with more than 300 mg.

This was my breakfast:

That's potato salad with mixed spicy olives.

Not everyone is sensitive to sodium. You might not be, either. Blanket
prohibitions on sodium are likely to be wrong about 40% of the time.

Looks and sounds nice. That would be my main meal of the day...lunch and
not breakfast.

I suspect that I am. I had an issue with frequent but low volume
urination and desperate need to go when the urge hit.... like think I
need to pee and have to run to the can. That went away when I got into
the low sodium diet and stuck with it. I had a much lower frequency
and larger volume, and I lost weight. I occasionally have something a
little salty and it reverts to the old problem.

There is a couple in our kayak club where the woman was developing a
frequent urination problem bordering on incontinence. She used to bring
along a bag of Doritos figuring that the salt would help her retain fluid.

The popular American beers like Bud Light are indeed swill, but there is a lot
of really good beer made in 2020 in the USA.

My high blood pressure is not salt sensitive, and is well controlled by
amlodipine and hydrochlorothiazide. It's mostly caused by being
overweight.

Picture of the potato salad isn't the best but I am sure it was good.

That much brisket would probably be 2 meals each for me and Don, but
don't worry. It looks good. We'd just have something veggie or fruit
in place of some of the meat.

Great stuff with fried chicken!

If overweight, switch to all veggie or use NJ Diet, Balance of Nature, Texas Superfood, etc...
