Okay... string bean is a colloquial term, shortened from stringed
bean. I don't usually string the green beans I grow, only the larger
ones that escaped getting picked... thse strings can be tough, can be
used as dental floss.
Temps have risen here, up in the mid forties, a lot of snow has melted
but still plenty. At some point we need to let the one wo put it here
take it away. We made paths to the barns so the feral cats can get to
our deck for food and water.
I had my hair cut, showered, and feel more human. I still don't feel
like cooking that ham, maybe tomorrow. Meanwhile it's in the fridge
and is safe for more than a month. After my haircut I went to Tops
Market and bought my greenish bananas, some Sprint soda, they had the
sugar free in two liter bottles, five for $5, better than canned. Got
some bread and rolls too. Supposed to get more snow tonight. I heard
via email that all is fine on Lung Guyland. I'll feed the cats soon
and at 7 PM Mische gets his injection... 7 AM and 7 PM, a half hour
after he eats... he's doing very well, not looking so tired and dull
eyed. Mische is a little over 3 years old, still young and very
loving, he's well worth saving... the insulin with needles is only $2
a day, he gets special low calorie food too. We simply feed all three
the same food. The outside cats get a higher calorie food, they are a
lot more active and living in the cold. We take care of all the
critters, any don't look well they go to the Vet. Most times all they
need is a special food that contains an antibiotic.
