I might just have to make that. I have a can of diced tomatoes and
chilies that I have yet to do anything with. Lots of cans of white
shoepeg corn. Shoepeg corn is my favorite; I usually stock a good 3-5

In the end, we can't stop technology - at least, I'm not aware of a civilization that was able to do it. In a short while, we'll be seeing movies written by machines, that star long dead Hollywood actors. Everything we see and hear on the glowing screen and the music we listen to will be artificial/synthesized/fake. We'll be living in a world where humans won't be the innovators/builders/creators of technology - machines will. Smart/creative/insightful humans will pretty much be obsolete. It could happen within your lifetime. It could happen within my lifetime. Humanity will just have to learn to be AI's bitch - until the time that the machines decide we're superfluous.

AI taking over is at least as old as 1950s science fiction. Old Asimov
had a lot to say about it too.
