Mrs. Beitel gave me a set of Circulon Symmetry cookware for Christmas 2017.

This set, I think: <https://www.amazon.com/Circulon-87526-Symmetry-Dishwasher-Anodized/dp/B005GYUNQG/ref=dp_ob_title_kitchen?th=1>

I can attest that they work really well. They are still in "good as new" condition.[1] And yes, the handles are 400-degree (F) oven-tolerant.

Hard anodizing is way better than coatings, in my experience with both. Also better than stainless (stickier) and cast iron (heavy, can be leachy, needs re-seasoning sometimes), although I still use my stainless pots for veggies, soup etc. and my cast iron pieces when I want to burn the shit out of something. :-) [2]

[1] I dropped the smaller frying pan on edge on the tiled floor. A couple of judicious WHANGS with a dead-blow hammer restored it to roundness without affecting the coating at all.

[2] Or want the latent heat capacity for something like a deep-dish pizza or Dutch Baby or some cornbread recipes.

So, two thumbs up for Circulon from me.

Wish they had tested a couple of more brands like Woll.

Like all tests, it is subjective. Their best overall is probably good
but it would not be my #1 pan to go to. The high side they extol the
virtues of are a detriment flipping an egg. Good price if you need deep.

I'd prefer their #3 for most uses. Sure it costs more but if you use it
frequently for years, worth paying extra.

One of the drawbacks of having an induction range is that one's choice of pans are severely limited - if non-stick is what you want. I see a lot of pans that seem wonderful but they're not going to work. I'll probably go get another pan soon. The only non-stick pan that will work for me is at the Safeway down the street. That's so weird.

Every Circulon pan in the kit I mentioned above has "Induction Suitable" stamped on the bottom. (Doesn't matter to me since I have a gas cooktop, but maybe that's good news for some. I'm not a shill for the brand, just a satisfied user.)

Indeed they are induction ready pans. I'll be on the lookout for those. They seem kind of expensive. OTOH, it is a unique construction - a hard anodized aluminum pan with a steel jacketed slug on the bottom. I'll pick one up if the price is right. OTOH, most of the ones on eBay come from Australia. That seems odd. Will those even work in the Northern hemisphere?

Last week my non-stick Calphalon skillet finally went to frypan heaven
after 10 years of great service. I had a Bialetti Titan non-stick frypan
waiting in the wings. It's done a great job and the stone-like interior
took a little getting used to but it's performed very well.

The Bialetti came from Bed, Bath, & Beyond and I used a coupon which is
always nice.
