Rick Derringer is pretty awesome live. I saw him opening for Aerosmith around '78. I didn't particularly care about RD at the time but by the time it was over, I realized that it was the most rockin' concert I had seen up to that time. Here's a video of Rick singing to his wife Liz. He's the little guy up front.
