Mint chocolate chip with mint chocolate icing.

I'm a sucker for anything mint chocolate.

Couldn't find the recipe on-line for you , but I included a photo of it from the cookbook in the album.

This morning, Mrs. Beitel said, "How thoughtful of you to fix me breakfast!" I was puzzled, since I hadn't. Then saw I had left the plate of cookies on the table at the spot where she usually sits.

And a cookie-making question: When a recipe says, "Drop dough by tablespoonfuls 3 inches apart," do they mean "center-to-center" (my interpretation) or "3 inches between cookies" (Mrs. B's interpretation)?

3 inches apart for that much dough IMO.

some recipes spread more than others.

But 3 inches from center to center or 3 inches from side to side?

Or make one megacook.

when you drop the cookie dough on the sheet where is the
edge? three inches from that edge. i.e. three inches
apart.

when someone says "Stand three inches from me."
you don't think of center of mass do ya? same
thing... IMO

I think so too. (But that was the question.)

I recommend vernier calipers and measure precisely from center to
center of each drop of dough. Some folks measure edge to edge, or
use their horoscopes. Sometimes, though, after I have drank a few
beers, I just glop them onto the sheet, willy nilly.

They always turn out better that way.

OK. That would have meant using 6 baking sheets with only 12 globs per sheet rather than the 3 sheets worth with 24 globs on them I did. OTOH, the cookies spread out to about 3 inches in diameter (look at the pictures) which would support the "3 inches center-to-center" idea. OTotherOH, they did run into each other a bit. I'm going with "enough expertise in cookie-making to know how far apart drop cookies have to be to prevent them running together based on the amount of dough per glob, the consistency of the dough, how much fat is in the dough, and how hot the oven is for how long." Which I know to the "close enough" standard, but thought I'd ask this august group just in case. :-)

Thanks for playing. :-)
