He has a license. So he thinks that only allows him to pay for his

Yes Jill, John's tax deficit is not anyone else's issue and the constant
mention is stupid and overdone. John still has assets - he'll fix that.
Why do you care so much about what John does?

Let's hear more about food and cooking, hummingbirds, frozen pipes, etc.
I don't mind those posts. Even the occasional picking on ferrets is fun.

Assets don't equal income. Why does John think anyone cares about his
Nordictrack music? daily drivel? He posts it to get attention, any
kind of attention.

The hummingbird is still here. :) It's the first time she's ever stayed
through the winter. It's going to be 80°F here today so I doubt the
pipes will freeze. I wrote that *OT* post because in all the years I've
lived here it has never gotten cold enough for the pipes to freeze, not
even the year it this area got snow for a day. Having no running water
is a PITA and yes, it affects everything including *cooking*. Good
thing I freeze leftovers (but then I couldn't wash the containers).

The only asset John has is the house, so the tax problem will kind of
fix itself.

> Why do you care so much about what John does?

Why do you care about whether Jill cares about what John does?
Quietly killfile everybody who bothers you. It's worked for me.
I let you out of my killfile a few weeks ago. Now that you're

Heh. My husband's hunting buddy texted him. She's on travel for work.
Her automatic standby generator said it isn't running when it should be.
The neighbor went over but couldn't get it running again. We think
the propane line has a little frozen water in it.

LOL thinking about OhFeelMe years ago whining about Peter Lucas, quoting
100 lines or more of his offensives posts only to add a one line comment
that his post was offensive. I already had him plonked and I told her
that if she was going to replay to every one of his posts only to add
that one line that it was offensive I was going to put her in the kill
file. She then whined that I can't tell her what she can post or who she
can reply to. There was no argument there, but I could filter it so I
would not be exposed to the same offensive post she was complaining about.

The house is the only "asset" he has. No one wants to buy his
limping-along electric car or his "sound system" or his old album
collection or his Nordictrack. They aren't "assets". John posts every
miniscule detail of his personal life; are we supposed to applaud him
for posting about his glabrous nads and jerking off and buying cannabis
"Lava Cake" from Jane's Dispensary? He invites the ridicule and seems
to thrive on it. If ONLY Bryan would come back into his life and relive

https://www.dictionary.com/e/slang/karen/

Karen joins a trend on the internet in the 2010s of using a first name
to make fun of certain kinds of people. A Becky, for example, is a
stereotype for a “basic” young, white woman, while a Chad, in other
corners of the internet, stands in for a cocky, young “dudebro.”

But, why the name Karen? Karen has widely been credited to Black Twitter
in the 2010s. Another suggestion is that it comes from a 2005 bit by
Dane Cook called “The Friend Nobody Likes.” (The friend was named
Karen.) An additional explanation is that it comes from the character
Karen in the 2004 film Mean Girls, who’s the subject of the popular
quote: “Oh my God, Karen, you can’t just ask someone why they’re white.”
It’s even been put forth that Karen comes from the even earlier 1990
film Goodfellas, in which one of the characters is named Karen.

Whatever the origin of the slang, the name Karen, apparently, is
popularly thought of as a generic-seeming name for a middle-aged white
woman of a certain generation. According to Social Security data, Karen
was indeed the fourth most popular name for newborn girls in the 1960s,
peaking at #3 in 1965.

Record of the insult Karen appears as early as September 2016 when a
Tumblr user, joematar, made fun of a promo for Nintendo Switch in which
a white woman (appearing to be in her late 20s or early 30s) brings the
gaming device to a party. The user refers to this supposed kill-joy as
Karen: “Oh shit, Karen brought her stupid Nintendo thing to the party
again. We’re DRINKING, Karen. We’re having CONVERSATIONS.”

The character was further developed in December 2017 thanks to a
subreddit dedicated to mocking the imagined Karen (somewhat like Cook’s
“The Friend Nobody Likes” bit). Tropes that developed about Karen here
were that she is an annoying (and always annoyed) middle-aged, suburban,
minivan-driving white, divorced mother of poorly behaved boys (of whom
she has custody) who has a so-called “speak to the manager” haircut.

Hot off the presses, lol... :

https://nypost.com/2023/02/28/illinois-karen-calls-cops-on-black-men-shoveling-snow/

Illinois ‘Karen’ calls cops on black men shoveling snow after storm

"No good deed goes unpunished.

A belligerent “Karen” was caught on video calling the cops on two black men in Illinois — after they shoveled snow off the sidewalk outside her home.

Gregory McAdory, who runs a snow removal business in Rockford, Illinois, was clearing a driveway for his friend’s dad on Feb. 17 when the pals decided to clear the sidewalk too — at no cost.

But the helpful duo didn’t receive any gratitude from the ornery neighbor, who took offense at their altruism and threatened to call the police, the Daily Beast reported.

“When the police is called on people of my color, just to be on the safe side, I just say, ‘Record,’” McAdory told the outlet.

The TikTok video he posted the next day shows the interaction between the two young men and the woman, who even goes so far as to move their shoveled snow back onto the sidewalk.

“You’re seriously mad because we cleaned off your sidewalk?” McAdory asks, incredulously.

“Don’t trespass that line!” the woman shoots back, pointing at a snow barrier. “I don’t need anything from you!”

Matters then quickly snowballed when the friend shovels the snow off the sidewalk again.

“That’s trespassing property!” says the woman, who later identifies herself as “Brunny.”

“This is a public sidewalk!” McAdory says.

“Get out of my way!” she snaps back and calls the cops, declaring “an emergency.”

“These two guys are African American, and I don’t get along with them. … They are making fun of me. See, they don’t have no respect!” she says on the phone.

According to the police log obtained by the Daily Beast, the woman reported disorderly conduct.

“There is a [race redacted]/M there harassing her and she doesn’t want him there,” the dispatcher’s notes reportedly state.

“She says they are disrespecting her and she wants them gone,” they add.

In another video, two cops are seen at the location, where one says the woman may suffer from a mental illness and the men are asked to not shovel her snow.

“I don’t know what’s wrong with her. I don’t know if it’s racism,” McAdory told the Daily Beast. “I just didn’t want to be arrested for something as minor as that.”

The outlet was unable to contact the woman for comment..."

I can see it now. Kuthe is arrested for running an unlicensed
marijuana farm. In court he acts as his own attorney. He calls
me to the stand - me, Thomas Joseph - and shows me your
above posts and asks if I remember seeing it.

"Vaguely", I responded. "Either way it's still on google, it can
be pulled up anytime. Why? What about it?"

Kuthe shows me your above post and asks me to read it out loud to
the jury. I do. I begin the say something and Kuthe says, "That is all",
dismissing me from the stand before turning to the same jury and
saying, "Now Ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury, is it not plain to see
that the person who wrote this post is responsible for dragging me
into a life by suggesting I grow my own marijuana, something I never
planned on in my life at any time. Not until Mr. Simmons suggested
it."

Then he calls Simmons to the stand and bullies him as best he can
with his newfound certified legal expert status. Simmons is in tears
and trembling on the stand. This is something new to him. He is
inwardly glowering at Kuthe, vowing revenge. Kuthe keeps pushing
him on the stand, forcing him to ultimately explode amid a volley of
threats prompting Kuthe to shout, "There! There is is Your Honor. I
told you he was violently insane. Is not his outburst here today in
front of many witnesses proof enough?"

The Judge dismisses the case and holds Simmons over for
psychiatric evaluation as well as a future hearing to determine
his culpability in the original weed growing operation.

One of the frivolous things he bought when he was "rich" was a
grow tent an probably some other accessories for it. Yet he still

You keep referring to some gang, as of there is some sort of
organization. I do make occasional comments about Kuthe and I used to
confront Julie's crap, but it was always as an individual, just like
Jill and some of the others make their own individual remarks. You used
to dump on Julie and you dump on John, so that would make you as much a

I believe if you grown your own there is a limit to the amount. I
don't know what that amount is. I smoke weed every day but have
never grown my own. I know plenty of people who have, some with
not so good results. I know the law keeps tabs on people's electricity
bills. If they go too high the suspicion is there. If someone has a
green thumb I say go for it. I also never tried cooking it. A guy I
picked up as a regular down here got in one night and gave me what
he called a lollipop. It was the consistency of those caramel squares
but it was on a stick. I asked him how much I should take. He said
"The whole thing." I knew that was not wise. I have made that mistake
before, taking too much all at once then spending the next 3 hours
regretting it. When I got home I took the caramel of the stick and
formed it into one long.

I went with intuition. I cut the log into 3 pieces, one for each for
the next 3 days.

It was great. I don't care about the muffins and so forth, all the edibles
that boast that they don't taste anything like weed. But the lollipop did
taste like weed - good weed. I liked it. I have looked up methods for
making edibles at home, all too daunting for my financial tastes.

You'll be happy to know that BN played a big part in the plans for our
upcoming 50th wedding anniversary. My wife wanted me to arrange a big
party. We could have had something local and have friends and local
family. My wife wanted to include her family, especially those who had
been at the wedding. I was adamant that I would not have her in the
house and that I was not paying for a restaurant and allowing her to
order her own meal at my expense. We then considered moving the event to
Toronto where most of them live and hosting it at a nice restaurant that
had a lunch buffet. We were going to keep the numbers low enough that
we could get our own separate area. She could eat as much as she wanted.

Unfortunately, the list grew to the point were it would have been too
expensive. I was prepared to skip the the nieces and nephews but she
insisted they had to be included. She also wanted their kids.

After a lot of discussion about it she said forget about the party.
Let's go to Paris instead. Deal. So now I have to be grateful to the
big niece because I get to go to Paris instead of spending almost as
much money on a 2 hour party.

You are wrong as usual Gary. She had wanted a party. She had wanted to
invite everyone who was at the wedding and current friends and family.
Our son had pointed out that it meant a lot of people people coming down
here from Toronto for a party that would last just a few hours and most
of them are now past the age of doing that. The alternative was for us
to have the party there, which would make it difficult for our local
friends and my family.

FWIW she had previously rejected the offer of a trip. My good friend and
his wife will be celebrating their 50th about two months later and they
were planning to celebrate it in Paris. She nixed that in favour of a
party.

True Jill. I have been to Europe a few times. One one of those trips we
started in Paris and used a rail pass to travel around Germany,
Switzerland, Italy, back to France and then 4 days in Paris. The second
one started in Copenhagen, then drove down to Bavaria and Austria and
then 4 days in Paris. The third started in Hamburg where we picked up a
car and spend a night then over to Denmark, back into Germany then
through the Netherlands, into Belgium, over to Verdun and then four days
in Paris. On the last trip we did Estonia, Sweden and Denmark.

Going to Paris for a week is going to be relatively cheap. I won't be
that much more than the party that got kiboshed but it will be a week of
enjoyment in a city I love.

I had better start brushing up on my French.
