Got a notice in the mail today that says I get 20% off and free
shipping on anything over $75. I've been wanting this for about a
year now, my 30 year old one has gotten kind of shabby:

Why? You never go anyplace. Not to visit your wife in the nearby
hospital, nor to see your kids or grandkids who also live pretty
close by.

And it's 1" too short and 1" too narrow to fit 2 1.75L bottles of
Crystal Palace. So it would be useless at liquor store, too.

Does Sheldon have any kids of his own (biological)?
Or is this his wife's kids from an old marriage?
Only she goes to visit them, never him.
He stays home and cooks onions while she's gone.

I used to use a child's lunchbox to keep things I might
need while at work all day. It was full of many little things
but it stayed in my van. Never a need to carry it with me.

Yes he does, pay attention. Daughter and grandkids.

I used to make recycled stuff for a charity to sell; I had a
brilliant idea for a manbag made out of a beautiful old tweed jacket.
It was lined with the original silk and had various pockets (inside and
out). Plus a shoulder strap made from a sleeve. The sale label said
"Mangag , for the man who has everything buy nowhere to put it. It never
sold so eventually I took it home and gave it to John, who very rarely
uses it, don't know why as his pockets are always laden with essential
manstuff. I've used the manbag more often than he has. I still think
it's a great idea and a great bag but it must be ahead of its time.

I've already posted many times that I have one biological daughter who
has two daughters so I suppose they qualify as my grands... I've
already posted their pictures
My present wife has two sons from her first husband who have three
children, two boys and one girl.
I visit when I feel like it and it's convenient for all, and they
visit here when they feel like it and it's conenient. They are all a
lot older now and have their own lives.

I've carried a man bag all my adult life only back then it was called
a seabag/douchekit. I carry lots of necessities in it that would
otherwise bulge my pockets like cancerous growths.... I've seen many
guys shopping with lumpy pockets, my wife thinks they look diseased. A
lot of guys have their wives carry their stuff in a cheapo plastic
tote. I prefer carrying my own stuff, all neatly organized in a well
made leather bag... many years ago real men carried their stuff in
saddlebags on their horse. I used to ride a Hawg and it had
saddlebags... yoose shit for brains wanna tell a gang of Hells Angels
with saddlebags that they're all faggots.

Tonight's dinner will be a 3 1/2 lb roast beef, with a large yellow
crookneck, roasted, and fresh garden green beans sauted with slivered
onions in butter. I'm sure there will be plenty of left over roast
beef but it won't be heated... haven't any of yoose been to a deli and
bought cold sliced roast beef for sammiches.

Or she totes his stuff around in HER purse.

This really doesn't have anything to do with Sheldon's man bag or that
lovely sounding bag that Janet UK made but I'll share just the same.

Over 10 years ago I started carrying/wearing a ladies' backpack purse.
I love them!! Hands are free to shop and pick up items and examine.
I do have some very nice/dressy regular handbags that I fish out and
transfer items to them when I have to make an appearance at a wedding
or funeral. But I'm so used to being hands-free that a purse hanging
on my arm is quite annoying. That being said, I've never been a fan
of shoulder or cross-body bags.

Cold roast beef sandwiches sound like they would hit the spot for lunch
or supper on these hot days. Especially after any yard/fieldwork.

Not in the least. Unless you are dead you can spot/sense when someone is
too close to your back whether wearing a backpack purse or just a regular
purse hanging on your arm.

Would I wear this type of purse in the middle of New York City, Chicago,
Atlanta, Memphis, etc.? No. If I were vacationing in any of those cities
I'd be wearing a fanny pack. But when I'm at the grocery store I'll hear
it announced over the intercom at least once per trip "Do not leave your
purse or billfold unattended." I'll see at least a half dozen purses
plopped in the child seat section of a grocery cart and the shopper has
stepped away to gaze at something on a shelf. Completely oblivious.

I've tried the wallet in one pocket and keys in another; I don't need any
bulges on my hips or thighs. Even though my billfold is a French clutch
and not stuffed, it's too large for some pockets. Some of my pants don't
even have pockets but I can get away with it in the wintertime when I wear
a jacket.

I have a newer one that just isn't as nice and I also was
gifted a leather wallet years ago from someone that felt

"Surfer" wallets. Those are pretty popular on this rock and have been for decades. I dumped my old leather wallet and use a new fangled card carrying thingie in my front pocket. Keeping a fat-assed wallet in your ass pocket is just asking for trouble.

Most people carry security cards on a lanyard around their neck or attached to their purse or some other place on their body. A security card that doesn't have to be pulled out would be a good thing.

If you ask me, your security card should be your cell phone. For added security, your location would be tracked at all times when in the building or when you're out.

I only use the card to get into the building and once in a blue moon
into a restricted lab. In my wallet is the best place. I don't have
to pull it out of the walled for it to be read.

> If you ask me, your security card should be your cell phone. For added security, your location would be tracked at all times when in the building or when you're out.

That would be an intolerable intrusion on my privacy.

The whole world slaughters, tortures, eats and wears animals. I kind
of knew that already, sort of kinda thing. It's a remnant of the
Neanderthal era. We'll grow out of it and some people are ahead of the
pack.

Leather is a byproduct of beef and dairy No one would raise cattle exclusively for leather if cattle didn't have tasty meat and/or tasty milk. I've known vegetarians who've admitted to me that it's not about the welfare of animals, but that they think eating animals' bodies is gross.

Funny how kids are. I have a great niece who won't eat meat at all, but her younger sister would eat nothing but chicken wings if she could. She throws a fit if she doesn't get chicken wings pretty much every day.

The argument could be made that leather makes beef slightly cheaper to produce, and so makes cattle farming more profitable, but the rancher gets very little for the hides. Most of the cost of leather is because of the cost of processing.

And then there are vegetarians who don't eat meat for health reasons
or for environmental reasons. I stick to animal welfare first of all,
but I'd appreciate any health benefits. Remember how the WHO said
eating red meat is as bad for us as smoking.

Hopefully the era will last long enough for me to obtain a genuine
DruceSkin lampshade.
