A few weeks ago I made banana ice cream. It was good but thought it
could be better. I saw that Haagen Daz makes one like mentioned above
so I though I'd give it a try.

On a small tray, I put little blobs of Skippy PB and put it in the
freezer. It froze but not so hard that you could not bit it.

For the chocolate chips I cut up a Hershey bar into small pieces. Solid
enough so no reason to freeze.

For the ice cream, same recipe of a pureed ripe banana, pint of heavy
cream, cup of milk, 3/4 cup sugar, vanilla. After churning the mix I
tossed in the other stuff, mixed and let it freeze. Turned out very well.

The larger chunks of chocolate were a bit har so next time I'll be sure
they are small and uniforms.

There were five of us for dinner last night and everyone enjoyed it.
Enough to have it again for my snack tonight.

Try Bananas Foster ice cream! That is the Banana ice cream of choice
when I make it.

It sounds rather yummy and I'm surprised there was any left!

I've made ice cream and I've used heavy cream and a can of Borden's sweetened
condensed milk for the base. Beat the heavy cream first then add the Bordens.

Better than banana ice cream is pure frozen banana... peel, wrap in
waxed paper, twist the ends, and pop in the freezer.

After freezing can be dipped in melted chocolate and crushed peanuts
if desired, and freeze a bit longer. I enjoy observing a group of
gals tackling frozen bananas for all their different techniques...
always one killjoy who asks for a knife and fork.:(
