I thought today was orientation day. Orientation is when you've already been
hired and you are there to learn how the company/service is run.

It's pretty bad when a trained and experienced nurse can't get a job on
the middle of a pandemic when retired doctors and nurses are being asked
to come out o retirement. The other day some here suggested ratting him
out but I suggested that they would figure him out. I guess that is what
happened when he showed up for orientation and now.... no job.

Not that simple. Hospitals in some areas are well below capacity and
have laid off staff. In the hot spots yes, they need people and even
there, the need is diminishing. Some respiratory therapists went to NY
with the promise of a job and were turned away when they go there last
week.

With elective procedures halted, many hospitals are at 50% capacity or
less. I don't know the particulars of St Louis but from what John has
posted need is low.

Not it da Loo. They gave him a mask and showed him to the door.

Probably after he blabbed on and on about cannabis nursing, his
church, his UZI, his leaf, etc.

Nope! They said I was "wobbly" after giving me my vocational physical, as the reason I failed it. So I guess I'm gonna have to get a job as a rehab nurse and care for older adults who are more wobbly than me! And I RIPPED an HOUR on my new Nordictrack (tweaked it and got it dialed in!) after my lunch! I'll show them wobbly!

And they looked up my Nursys status so they saw that one documented mistake I made. As I said, professionals don't shop the Internet for IDIOTS "ratting" people out.

Valid points, but what I was seeing in the second hand posts was that he
had a job.... with benefits... and that he was going in for orientation.
Orientation is what happens when you get a job and they bring you in an
show you around. They usually then tell you when to come in to start
work. Something must have gone quite wrong there. I don't think that
anyone here is surprised that it was a figment of his imagination that
he had a job offer, or that figments of his imagination interfered in
the process.

Every employer does things a little differently, NOT according to your expectations/predictions. And the "show you around" part is where YOU failed! This was a Home Care Pediatrics nursing job! NOT some corporate office job!

Please stop assuming YOU know how everything works!

Couple of nursing homes near here were emptied out and people taken to
hospitals. Infected and not infected were sorted out.

I can't believe you'd be 'wobbly' after all that ripping and farting that
you've shared with us for months on end. As much as you say you used the
Nordic Track, Superman should be in awe of you.

They'd never admit it to protect themselves from a lawsuit, but I would not
be a bit surprised they did a quick internet search using your name. Their
decision was probably not to hire you after seeing your narcissistic, self-
serving, and off the deep end at times, comments. Saying you are 'wobbly'
protects them from litigation and does not insult you by saying you're too
unstable to be caring for anyone, let alone a child.

Let's just hope those older adults do not require any lifting. If you're too
wobbly for a child, you can't lift an adult who would be most likely a dead
weight.

Be sure and share with your new employer, if you're lucky enough to get a job,
how you rip and fart on the N. T. and then you have a 'cuppa plus.' That
will certainly impress them.

Then they went straight onto the internet and saw your name all over it like
the worst case of measles imaginable. They got an eyeful of how unstable you
generally are and didn't want to put patients at risk or open themselves to a
lawsuit.

That assuming he had an offer that he accepted.  The whole this is bullshit.
