i'm a bit on the heavy side. what i find to be a good weight loss technique is to eat a filling meal, but only once per day. for me anyway, eating 5 small meals or whatever the gurus are selling these days does not work. yesterday i had for lunch a good sized schnitzel, mashed potatoes along with synthetic mushroom gravy, coleslaw with a light mayo dressing, a couple of squares of chocolate for dessert.
i did cheat and had a leftover schnitzel(without anything else)for supper. the next day, i was about an inch lesser on my belt.

I find slightly smaller portions and cutting out bread and cakes works
for me, especially the latter.

I don't know how it is in your country but in the US, a "moose" is a baby with a heavy birth weight. I always thought that was funny.

Good luck with the losing of the weight. My guess is that your best bet is to cut out carbs but don't quote me on that because I could be wrong.

Chinese wise doctor once said: Want to lose weight? Easy. Replace all
your carbs with beans.

LOL, I would have been a super moose. I get a strange reaction from
women when I tell them how much I weight at birth..... 11 lb 10 oz.

Everyone is different. My wife does the low carb thing and it certainly
works for her. When I was on a strict diet after surgery I dropped
weight quickly. I could have a cookie and fruit for dessert and lose
weight. A second cookie negated that.

you're not wrong about the carbs. that worked for me once, but it no longer does. meat and veggies and some fat will really take the weight off if you're in that place. it no longer works for me. one full meal per day is good.

When I'm working, I'll eat a single meal a day. I'll just have a little something so I don't pass out from low blood sugar in the morning. Just awful stuff like Halloween candy. :)

Different things work for different people. The bottom line is to take
in fewer calories than you burn.

I couldn't get by on one big meal per day; I get too hangry.

eating more fiber and vegetables will help a person feel
full longer.

being more active works very well for me. especially now
that gardening season is here.

once it gets hotter out i don't want to eat that much.

i need to lose about 20 more pounds before fall. i hope
i can do it this year. we'll see... :)

However, choose your vegetables wisely. A local diet clinic allows one
to eat unlimited broccoli but absolutely no carrots.

i do like fried cauliflower. it's certainly not a low weight loss way to prepare it since it's breaded etc.

My daughter tried Keto diet for a few weeks. Carrots were not allowed
because of the sugar. She got sick of it after a couple of weeks
following their plan.

It's a difficult regimen. Nearly everybody can benefit from cutting
carbs (it's the low-hanging fruit [heh] in the diet), but extreme
dieting is difficult to sustain.

So many people want the "quick fix", and when they stop the diet they
start gaining the weight back. I find a much better approach is
"I'm going to eat differently, forever", lose the weight slowly and
not stress if a piece of birthday cake (provided it's actually good
cake) passes my lips.

It's all about eat a good balanced diet.
To lose weight be more active and eat less calories
than you burn.

It's easy to slowly gain weight but whenever a diet shows up,
it's all about quick results.

No need at all to eat miserably or starve yourself. Just slightly
cut down on calories and slightly increase your activity. No
radical change. Doing it this way will give you positive results
but slow ones. It took you several months to gain those pounds.
Give it the same time to lose them.

A friend lost a lot of weight on 'Myfitnesspal' Have a look:) I can't
comment on it personally but she seemed to get much thinner quickly and was
very happy with what she was allowed to eat.

My doctor told me that everyone over 50 needs to take a dose of Meta
Mucil every day. It definately keeps one regular and cuts way down on
over eating

Your doctor is either perpetually constipated and thinks everyone over the age
of 50 is or is an idiot.

Popeye, isn't it a chore to insert that rectal tube each day for
yoose metamucil dose?

I bet the old mexican woman would do that if yoose were nicer to her.

Maybe not. The doc is probably just messing with Popeye.
