In reality Joan, TV dinners and take-out are getting better and better and sometimes even seem cheaper than groceries.

Here in NYC, you really have to love the grocery shopping. Banquet fried chicken in the grocery stores are $14.50 per box for 6 pieces of chicken, OK? At the fried chicken place, you can get 11 or 12 pieces of chicken, biscuits and 2 sides for that much money! Crazy, but true. But crazy

I went to KFC yesterday. There was a sign in the dining room. It said "Our farm fresh chicken comes from ___________. Our cook today is _________ ." In the blanks were, written in chalk, "Missouri" and "Norman." Ha ha, that was a lot of fun. The chicken was still depressing though.
