No biggie!

My grandparents had a huge avocado tree in their backyard. I've been
eating avocados-on-toast fer over 60 yrs. ;)

No biggie for me, too. They just don't do that much for me.

The last romaine lettuce I bought was tagged as originating in
Mexico. If I can't get romaine for a while, I will be annoyed.

Ain't it the truth. Avocados do begin with the letter A but that doesn't mean
they are the first thing on my grocery list. The chances of me buying an
avocado is slim to none.

You usta be able to buy, in Mexican outlets where you could purchase
avocados fer under $1usd ($.59usd), a little shaker of lime-flavored
salt. Specially made fer avocados. I still have one.

Otherwise, gotta sprinkle with S&P, then squeeze some lime juice on yer
avocado slices. ;)

Just too many calories for me. Fat is the most calorie-dense food
per volume. It's easier to cut calories by reducing my fat intake
than by any other means.

I'm not extreme anti-fat. But cutting out a little fat can make
a big difference over time.

My guess on this . . .
Trump is using the shutdown to get something else and the border will
never shut.

Meantime, Avocado sales will go up from all the publicity generated.
Shelves will be near empty soon.

Won't affect me. I've bought maybe 3 in my life. They are ok, but kind
of bland. They don't excite me and I'd never miss them.

I didn't taste an avocado until I was in my 30's. They're good but I
don't go out of my way to buy them. My mother loved avocados but her
doctor told her they were too high in the *bad* fat. Different opinions
everywhere you look.

I don't know why but I love them. :) I've been thinking lately about a
delicious chicken dish I had a long time ago in an Italian restaurant.
Chicken Carciofi. It was quite similar to piccata but with thinly
sliced artichoke hearts instead of capers in the lemon/wine sauce.

Wait, let me look up what Americans call it...

Oh, the same, or else sunroot, sunchoke, or earth apple:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jerusalem_artichoke

Very different from the regular artichoke. I used to grow them in
Tasmania. They were good but do upset one's system a bit if one's not
used to them, much like salsify does.

That's $1.66 ea, pretty much normal, hereabouts.

OTOH, they were only $.88usd on sale, today (from Mexico). ;)

I agree. Even if the "something else" is nothing more than media buzz.

It's a vast conspiracy by the Avocado Cabal. They've paid Trump to
close the border so they price will rise.

It also means the cartels built production facilities for
hydrocodone, oxycodone, and consistent high quality fentynl in
record time to satisfy not only the need by patients now cut off
from their only reason for living, and anybody who wants to sample
this overblown opiod epidemic to see what this fuss is about. Now
they'll only be able to charge half price instead of 1/3 of the
average insurance copay and still make a killing, wall or no wall.

I'm personally happiest with 125mg of tramadol for 8 solid of
hours of pain relief (at 25% higher than the maximum dose) with no
detectable buzz rather than 50mg of hydrocodone which is $25 on the
street fro a slight buzz and a peak pain relief of only 20 at 1.5
hours ande by 4. And then with with my policy of every 10mg norco
is is matched by a shot of 80 proof booze. Which is equal to about
1,000% recommended maximum dosage.

Every attempt to thwart American production will be matched
lockstep with Mexico providing it Mexico beating it by an initially
high price for guarenteed potency thats twice as good and it will
eventually lower to least 1/3 price in 10 years. Central Valley
speed was 150 an eighth and you got some random shit in random
colors and the consistency of random dirt (bathtub speed) No you
consistently get the highest potency possible for half the price, a
savings of 75%. I hadn't done it since it was $300 and eigth and
now its 80. And nobody has a reason to step on it, ho do step on a
single crystal that weighs a quarter ounce anyway?

You can do meth for the same price as starbucks coffee. And it sure
saves of lot time and effort of taking 2 40-minute coffee breaks in
addition to a hour lunch break. A line takes 30 seconds. My next
venture startup will never hire any coffee. I hate them with the

i did meth a few times back in 1973. it was so good, i cannot describe it. and i never got the crystal meth; it was around. my first stuff was liquid meth. i was really buggered up on tequila, and the meth put me really straight. then the next few times, i did the powder. the salt i think. it was so awesome, i still cannot to this day get over it. it is the best dope ever, better than heroin or coke. i've heard that these days, it is crap. a friend of mine did some a few years ago, and couldn't wait for the 'high' to end. it was just a heart pounding experience without a good high. it's good to stay away from that stuff. i stopped because i used to work out, and when i worked out the day or two after meth use, my heart would pound like crazy. and the depression after come down was very bad.
