So does everyone in my house! ;-)

And I do NOT have it up loud! My sound system is just fantastically that good! :-)

They probably can't hear the music, with your loud mouth constantly
running.

They're probably praying for the last day of the semester so they can
fly the coop. I can't believe any but John would be so rude as to
subject his boarders to his choice of music. They probably do all their
studying at the library so they can concentrate and have some peace and
quiet.

True. One would have to consume some pretty powerful drugs to be
able to listen to bitches brew.

I keep my most excellent of systems very low volume and do not play my djembe very loudly either!

I shut it all down evenings. It's been off since 8PM or so.

Not in THIS Brick House! Big powerful efficient speakers (Klipsch La Scalas and Heresies) are in the basement. Cheaper less efficient speakers (JBL Control X) are outside, and each set of speakers are switchable on or off.

I am very cognizant of the sound levels outside. If I play it loud outside it's because I am doing something loud outside like mowing, etc, or someone is!

Just what I want to hear. A lawn mower plus the neighbor's stereo.

That's why I live outside of town.

Yoose have the finest stereo in da Loo!

But don't brag about it at your nursing interview. Concentrate on
your cannabis nursing stuff.

How loud is an electric mower?

He has the mental age that makes him think that playing loud music will
make his roomies and neighbours think that he is cool.

I am sure you can imagine what it's like to live close to someone who
thinks it's cool to play loud music and than cranks up the volume so he
can maintain his cool image over the loudness of his yard maintenance
equipment.

I am reminded of an asshole who rides to work on his Harley. He is one
of those twits who has removed his muffler to be cool. Then he has his
stereo cranked up so he can hear it over the racket of his bike and with
his helmet one. I can hear him coming for more than a mile and then
going for a mile. In his mind he thinks he is pretty fucking cool, but
everyone else thinks he is an asshole.

Louder than an electric shaver, I'm sure. But it does NOT USE PETROLEUM or STINK! Nor run out of charge, as it's a 120VAC plug- in and I have two 75ft grounded heavy gage extensions.

Nope! In fact I was just downstairs listening to Pink Floyd's "More" album at very low volume levels, as I do a lot of stuff I listen to. I NEVER play music loudly to impress others, that is total bullshit! I play my music for me and no one else.

Hell yes! In fact, you never even talk about playing music here.
Nary a mention of any audio equipment either.

Yoose should use an electric shaver. All electric and doesn't
waste any valuable water. :-D

My favorite was always the old "Dark Side of the Moon" one.

For the best "headphones" in the universe try one of these:

Once I had a very comfortable arm chair with wide flat
arms. I put my good speakers on each end of the arms and
angled to face the middle of the chair. Turn on the music
at low volume then go sit in the chair. Sounds nice and
loud like that to you but not to anyone else.

Similar - place 2 good speakers on the floor about
3 feet apart and facing towards each other. Put a
pillow inbetween and lay down on your back with head
on pillow. Enjoy.

Both methods give better sound than what you could get
from the most expensive, best headphones in the universe.

True stories too. I've "been there, done that."

If you were truly cool you'd use blue tooth ear buds.
