then I brought them home.

The end

just kidding

I sliced them into almost what you can call thick deli meat, but then
I created a batter of corn starch eggs and sriracha and coated them
then threw them in the air fryer at 350 for 12 mins, the cornstarch
and egg was just so that the sriracha would stay on the chicken. So it
was like a grilled spicy chicken, a little S&P then it was done and I
threw it on a tortilla with mayo tomato and lettuce and it was a
pretty good and easy lunch.

The remaining chicken I threw in the freezer so that later I can thaw
them slice them into small nugget size pieces and air fry them to use
in a multitude of recipes such as for salads, almost any Chinese dish
that has chicken, nuggets with dipping sauce... and many many many
others.. I mean there are so many different things can make with it
There is no way I would ever starve, unless of course the power went
out. And that would just piss me off all to hell and back

Which is why I have a gas stove.

Or, more to the point, an automatic standby generator. The power never
goes out here.

Last night I grilled a couple of chicken breasts. I had a salad with
chicken breast, dressed with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. A slice
of bread with olive oil and salt.

I made 3 good slices from the 1 chicken tit. the first I ate with mayo
lettuce and tomato

I was still hungry so I cut the second slice into long slivers to make
chicken fajitas... I used a nut based sour cream salsa toms and a
rehydrated pablano that was also sauteed with onions on corn torts.
That was so freakin awesome. With the last slice I will most likely do
what you did and put it on top of a salad, but first I need to go and
but me a couple more heads of the iceberg lettuce

Thick, raw chicken deli meat? I'll just call them "slices of raw
chicken", thank you.

For somebody who claims to love cooking, you sure are a one-schtick
pony. Have you ever heard of stoves and ovens? Or do you live in a
tent?

Sure, that's accurate. Deli meat has been processed injected, formed,
cooked. I don't think they are easily confused. Deli meat may even
have gluten added.

You're right. They're ropy and nasty, like a weightlifter's pecs.

I pay a lot for Bell & Evans chicken, which has more normal sized
breasts.

I've got a pair of huge ones that I stupidly bought at Costco. I'm
waiting for my husband to want Chicken Tikka, so I can marinate 'em
in yogurt.

Those big ones are certainly impressive. I'd like to see the chickens that belong to those. :)

I don't much care for the small ones either. Chicken breasts are not that popular with Asian cooks. I have some giant ones in the freezer that my son bought long ago. I can make lemongrass chicken or ginger chicken with them - these are dishes that work well with bland, flavorless, chicken. I need the freezer space so I'll probably be cooking those up soon.

I am not keen on chicken breast either. I always use thighs unless it is
a whole chicken

In my world, chicken breast meat is best used for stir fry and
chicken sandwiches. For just eating chicken, I also prefer the
dark meat (thighs only). The legs (aka drumsticks) are just a bit
extra.

Everybody's different. I don't like dark meat. Cooking
nothing but white meat, I've had ample opportunity to get
good at it. Always tender, juicy, and flavorful without the
slimy mouthfeel of dark meat. (It's probably the fat. I've
always been Jack Sprat.)

Tonight for dinner: Chicken "Cordon Bleu" with back bacon and
gruyere.

I'm with you there, Cindy. The breast meat is actually very
mildly favorful and delicious if cooked just right. Most ppl
overcook it to basically dry and tasteless.

This is why I prefer the white for stir fry or sandwiches.
I really prefer the dark thighs fryed or baked but only then.

And/or with bbq sauce.
No matter what people here like, the market shows that most
people prefer white meat. It's always more expensive.

The chicken breast meat does have such a short window between raw
and overcooked. Get it just right though and you have a winner.
Only way I've been able to achieve that is by microwaving 30
seconds at a time once it's almost done.

Perfectly cooked chicken breast is so tasty. Just a sprinkle of
salt for me and it's so delicious on it's own.

I like both. A woman I know likes only dark meat. She says that breast
meat is tough and dry. That surprised me because I had had her cooking
and it was pretty good and I thought she should be able to master
cooking chicken breast without over cooking it. That can sometimes be a
small window.

I often make thighs in the oven or on the grill. At times they have
been downright abused and still come out good with a crispy skin. You
do have to pay attention with breasts. I avoid drumsticks though.

Chicken Tandoori is best made with thighs and drumsticks. It is
marinated and then cooked hot and fast.

I think the breast tends to be dry.

I don't know how big your drumsticks are but the only ones I see are too
small to bother with.

The most popular chicken in the US will be boneless chicken thighs. Well, it will be when chicken katsu is served everywhere on the mainland, like it is here.

FINALLY! Someone besides me that doesn't care for chicken thighs but I do
like the legs and am not adverse to gnawing on a wing. After all, wings
are white meat, too, but not much there.

Texas House Passes Bill Legalizing Lemonade Stands Run by Children

State law currently prohibits the sale of homemade drinks.

Billy Binion|Mar. 26, 2019 10:15 am

"When life gives you lemons, make lemonade—but don't sell it in Texas. At least, not yet. Although state law currently prohibits the sale of homemade drinks, the Texas House of Representatives passed a bill last week legalizing lemonade stands run by children. It now heads to the state Senate.

The legislation would outlaw permit requirements for minors who wish to operate a temporary stand selling lemonade or any other nonalcoholic beverage. In doing so, it would overturn the Texas Food Establishment's ban on the sale of unregulated drinks, which was enacted over health concerns.

"Yesterday was one small step for lemonade, today is one giant leap for young entrepreneurs," Rep. Matt Krause (R–Fort Worth), who championed the bill, said after the House gave its final approval.

A similar law recently passed in Colorado after the police shut down a kid's lemonade stand over licensing woes. The makeshift business was operating next to a festival where adults were selling the same beverage.

The Dallas Morning News highlights that several young lemonade vendors across Texas have met the same fate. Unaware that their business endeavors were in violation of state law, sisters Andria, 8, and Zoey Green, 7, had their stand shuttered in 2015 by police who noted that they were operating without a permit.

Krause's bill has drawn cheers from Texas politicians, including Land Commissioner George P. Bush, who tweeted a video of him patronizing a lemonade stand outside of his office.

"Can't think of anything more basic, more entrepreneurial, more creative for a child to begin the idea of learning the value of a dollar," said Bush in the video. "I'm encouraging my fellow Texans to support this piece of legislation that goes far to build imagination and creativity in our great state."

Republican Gov. Greg Abbott took to Twitter to voice his approval as well. "It's a shame that a law for this is even needed," he said..."
