making the bed is something i do once in a while when i
wash my blankets. that's it, otherwise it's my couch and
where i read and compute from during the day, i don't sit
much at all instead i sprawl out. there's no other place
in the house i spend so much time. so making the bed is
a general waste of effort as five minutes later i'd be
likely to move the blankets around anyways. i always have
a blanket around even in the hottest part of the summer
because i don't like sleeping without a cover of some
kind, but i do not want my feet tucked in ever. i hate
that. my feet are my little radiators sticking out of
the ends of the blankets.
right now my futon is also my work station for when i'm
shelling out the dry beans. it's comfortable to sit on
the edge while i'm doing that and i have all my boxes and
containers handy and it's a nice big surface if i need to
have flats spread out or my sorting flat and a lot of
containers. depends upon what i'm working on. since i'm
mostly through the complicated stuff now i don't need
that many containers or flats. once i'm done shelling
then i have to dust the floor and i'll wash all my
blankets and then make the bed after flipping over the
futon. pillow cases and the blanket i use the most will
get washed more often. pillows i wash two or three times
a year.
