So now, you can take pix, but only view them on the 2" screen?

What happened? Is it the memory card reader? Maybe it has a Wifi /
Bluetooth or micro USB port you can use. Tell us the model #.

He probably broke the internal USB port in the camera, and isn't aware
that he can remove the SD card from the camera and plug it into the side
of his Macbook (depending on the model).

He'll take it to Olde World Roofing & Camera, he'll happily fork over like $800 for them to "solve" the issue...

He'll have to take it back to the shop where he bought it and they will
laugh, then show him how to remove the SD card and plug it into the port
- that's assuming his crappy old MacBook has an SD card port. Maybe
they can teach him to set the camera correctly so his pics will be in
*focus* while he's at it. He spent $800 on a camera and still can't
figure it out.
