My response to the discussion on car insurance, I did respond but I can't
see it.

Here, if you are found driving with no insurance, you will be banned from
driving and have a heavy fine!

Like that ever stopped a stupid determined driver.

Are you saying you can drive around uninsured in your state?

No, it is against the law but when did that stop someone from doing what
they want to do?? Murder is against the law but that hasn't eliminated
it as is robbery, selling dope, and abusing children. But people do it
knowing it's against the but then you have people who don't think any law
applies to them.

But maybe a lot more people would do it if they could get away with
it.

As I said in an earlier post, I used to catch lots of suspended drivers.
Many of them had multiple convictions for driving under suspension.
Several had more than a dozen previous convictions. The all time record
was 24 previous convictions.

Am I stuttering? Did I not say people will break the law knowing it's wrong
because they think the law does not apply to them?? Maybe I didn't type those
exact words but the meaning is the same. People will do most anything if they
think they can get away with it.

Sorry, I can't make it any plainer and I'm not there to smack you upside the
head to make you understand.

No, you're the one that is dense, or have you been taking tips and lessons
from Gary and we're supposed to automatically know you are joking. Maybe
I do need to make a trip there and smack you upside the head.

This reminds me of the discussion where you didn't understand what per
capita meant. Makes for difficult communication.

I know exactly what it means and it meant nothing to the discussion of how
many blacks, whites, Latinos, or Asians were killed. If you recall, the
number of stupid white people killed was greater than the number of stupid
blacks, Latinos, and Asians killed.

In australia, everyone is honest, unlike evil americans.

If you are dutch, they even issue a special pass. It allows you to
ignore most laws that apply to other citizens.

Were you working a crosswalk or were you undercover? Maybe mounties?

That storm is headed right my way but I don't expect
any worries. Just maybe a loss of power for a few
hours. No TV, no internet....please kill me. ;)

Do you only post to RFC in the morning because electricity is cheaper
then? Or is free McDonalds wifi only available in the morning?

Dummy. My electricity costs the same all day long. And I have
free neighborhood wifi. Haven't been to McDonalds at all in
2020 yet, I think.

Early morning is when I do everything...shop and post here. It's
just my time of day. I'm a morning person. Any work comes later
or even at night.

Should not bother us much. I'm on the west coast and the storm is just
off the east.

I was supposed to head north tomorrow but I'm delaying a day. If I left
tomorrow I'd be in rain and wind the entire trip. An hour is not a big
deal but 14 hours is.

Every Friday I call a friend at about 9 AM. Sometimes I have to leave
the breakfast cleanup as I'm just finishing up. So my friend has been
to two different stores, put the groceries away and is finishing her
second coffee of the day.

Are you driving back to Connecticut?

No, just to New Jersey. Going to spend a few days with a friend at her
summer home on the beach. I had thought about going to CT for a couple
of days but with the virus it is not as easy to travel and see people.

As it is, I have to quarantine in NJ. That will be easy enough to do.
How bad can it be spending my time on a deck looking out over the ocean?
Under normal circumstances we'd go out to dinner and such but there
won't be any of that.

Oh, I won't be climbing those stairs either, she has an elevator

Quarantine is a problem. We were expecting a visit from an old friend
who lives in Texas. She had called in back in February or early March
saying she would be up here July 25-26 wanted to come by and visit. He
niece was going to pick her up and drive her around. I hope she is
okay. We never heard back, but quite frankly, we didn't want her coming
here. She is a Canadian, so they have to let her into the country, but
she would have to self isolate for two weeks.
