Old Fashioned Monte Cristo
Pit-smoked ham, hickory smoked turkey and sliced provolone, egg-battered
and fried golden. Dusted with powdered sugar and served with honey
mustard sauce for dipping.
It wasn't served with honey mustard sauce back then, though. it may
have been swiss cheese. It was served with strawberry jam. I said no
thanks to the dusting of powdered sugar and ignored the jam.
