What's going on in your kitchen for supper this first full day of fall?

In about an hour I'm strolling across the alley to my neighbor's house
for sliders she's making. Late Saturday afternoon I made a bowl of
steakhouse potato salad and that will go with me. Our friend, Steve,
no, not the Texan Steve, is bringing a tiramisu he made along with
bacon wrapped jalapeno peppers he grows. At least I think they're
bacon wrapped.

Don't know for sure. Maybe breakfast for dinner.

We had waffles and bacon for breakfast and salad with feta for lunch.

Breakfast for dinner is always a great choice. Yum-yum.

Doesn't she have a bowl of oats with brown sugar and milk for
breakfast every day?

We have a 5 lb chicken cooking. There are some fingerling potatoes being
boiled and there will be Brussels Sprouts and carrots to go with it.
There is a bumbleberry pie for dessert.

I made a pot of spaghetti sauce yesterday with fresh Italian sausage
from the local meat market. Cooked up some angel hair pasta earlier
today. This evening I put some in a bowl topped with some sauce and
heated it in the microwave. Sprinkled with shredded Parmesan.

I'll be taking some of that for lunch tomorrow, too.

Sounds interesting. I've never had bacon wrapped jalapeno's. (I used
to order deep fried jalapeno poppers at a small restaurant in Memphis; I
always thought those would be good stuffed with some crab meat). Enjoy
your meal!

Probably nothing, but maybe some pretzels. I had a corned beef Reuben
for lunch, and a buttered English muffin a couple of hours ago. I was
testing a 100 year old electric toaster, LOL. The type where you have
to flip the bread (or English muffin) over to toast the other side.

That sounds fun! Occasionally my neighbors cook out on Fridays, and
they invite me, but I'm iffy on other people's cooking. I've seen the
inside of their kitchen :/ ... Not lately, though, with the colder
weather.

I have no clue what a bumbleberry is... I had to look that up. A
mixture of berries?

I had to check in Wiki despite the supposed Canadian origin:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bumbleberry_pie

Before I checked, I thought maybe thimbleberries.
I have some of those here on my dog poop pathway:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rubus_parviflorus

Tastes like wild raspberry but less so if you know what I mean.

(Sort of like the cassia / cinnamon conundrum.)

Her terroir must be expanding.

You mean to say it tastes like raspberry but not as much as raspberry?

I always liked hash browns with stuff like waffles, pancakes and French toast. Bacon and sausage never went well with me with sweet syrup.
