Pbbbt! I've been drinking rum all day - 4/5ths of a liter. This
was the binge I was supposed to start last Saturday but I was
delayed.

During this time (8:30AM to 7:00 PM)....

I calculated and plotted a half a set of back stairs by *handsaw*:
A 4-step stringer out of 3" thick rough wood (4 9" runs, 5 5.5"
rises @ 31.66 degrees). One more to go! Joann made me do it
<sigh>.

And I argued with 6 different people on the phone until they all
hung up on me (I Win! Ha!)

I activated a new phone and shut off all those damned
notifications and removed all unwanted software VIA ADB over USB.

And I got a $126 refund from Lowes on that Shaw bathroom flooring
(bastards!) for which I paid $92 2 months ago (I argued that in
email where they can't hang up on me, fuckers!). Woo Hoo!
That'll buy more rum!

And I made 2 sets of tacos - refried bean & cheese for breakfast,
and smoked pork rib and green chile for dinner, with Sqwertz's
famous creamy jalapeno salsa - for Taco Sqwendsday.

Then I got stung by a bee (on the wrist, bastard is dead now!) for
the first time in 12 years and will probably end up in the
hospital later tonight where the second question they'll ask me
is, "Have you been drinking today?", as if that really fucking
matters.

(Yes, I'm loping off that head end)

And now I'm thinking about shaving my gnads with the hedge
clippers since I may be going to the hospital anyway...

Alcohol is a stimulant! Don't let it get you down!
(But take 125mg of Benedryl on top of it and it WILL put you
down!)

You need stringer help.

My stringer is just fine, thank you. Except that I'll never find
3" wide hangers.

That must have been a bitch to cut by hand.

I owe it all to Ron Rio. It turns out the wood is probably too
brittle. I dropped a piece of scrap it broke in half. No sense
busting a nut cutting the other one. I'm going to have to to get
real 2x8's.

2x8 will snap too. Go 12.

Yeah, I know. I'll just buy pre-cut stringers for $13/ea.

https://www.homedepot.com/p/ProWood-3-Step-Ground-Contact-Pressure-Treated-Pine-Stair-Stringer-279712/301040004

But none of them say what the total or individual rises and runs
are, though. I have 26 inches total rise (negotiable 2-4 inches)
and the top run can be the threshold which I just rebuilt, using
the last rise as whatever I bolt to the slab using those existing
slab bolts.

Woe is me...

No woe. 10 inch step with 7 up. With give or take trim the bottom step.
I have always made my own but always had that wtf moment. Use really nice wood for the steps
and front it will look great. If you are going wide buy 3. Wide being 5-6 feet. Maybe figure out the exact landing and mix a few bags of quikcrete and make that first. Nice pad.

Where's the proof of the (proof) rum? :)
