I wonder if it's related to the RFC vulture. It's got that same
obsessed look in the eyes and the busybody little beak!

There are hawks and owls in my neighborhood. Both are beautiful birds.

We all have different settings on our monitors/phones/cameras, but I
think I fixed our picture for you.

There are a lot of hawk versus cat fight videos.

You know better than that. :)

The hawk was resting in the shade. It's been *very* hot here.

It's rare for me to see a hawk on the ground, especially that close to
the house. The last time that happened was in 2008 when my mother was
still alive. That one was a full-grown hawk with an astounding wingspan
when it took off. We looked at it together out the window. Oddly, that
bird and this one were sitting in nearly in the same spot.

Are you paying any attention to Tropical Storm Isaias? It looks like it
might be the first this season to maybe get stronger and head up the
east coast of Florida.

I think Ed lives more on the west coast of Florida. (?)
Shouldn't affect him too much.

You and I are right on the predicted path though.
Just watched the 5am update. It's now a cat 1 hurricane.
Should be in your area sometime Monday and then my
area sometime Tuesday.

This is early for an east coast hurricane. Usually most
come in September.
