Sausage Sandwich

1 link Italian sausage (hot or sweet, your choice)
1/4 green bell pepper (or mixture), cut into strips
3 slices of a medium onion, about 1/4-inch thick, cut in half
1 Grinder roll

In a small skillet, bring sausage (prick them) and 1/4 cup water to a boil.
Cover and cook for 5 minutes. Uncover and let sausage brown. Remove from pan.
Add a little olive oil and saute the peppers and onions until tender.

Slice sausage into coins and put them along with the peppers and onions on a
split grinder roll.

Serves 1 (or you could share and still want something to eat).

Ah, Bob... I was with you until you cut up the sausage... :)
(I let the "grinder" roll slide... :))

For a variation, add a bit of tomato sauce while the onions and
peppers are frying... I also add garlic to the peppers and onions,
but then again I add garlic to just about everything... :)
