Have you heard of people putting MEAT in bloody marys? An acquaintance told
me about this.

cybercat,

Nope. Only as a side dish at Sunday brunch. In the form of bacon, sausage,
roast beef, salmon, sweet & sour chicken, etc. ;)

cybercat,

Actually, now that you mention it, a nice big strip of pepper'd beef jerky
might work.

Jerky *in* a Bloody Mary? You mean like liquidizing it in with the juice or
something? Might be an interesting experiment. Bit like cold beef and
tomato soup - with a 'kick'? <lol>

Cathy,

I was thinking like a stirrer, to be munched on occasionally during the
cocktail?

That's not real beef jerky but would probably work.

There's a restaurant/bar in town and some guy makes and delivers the best
pepper'd beef jerky. It sits in a glass jar at the bar. 50¢ a strip. If I
want a gout attack, that's the stuff!!!

Brekky?

Mine was two uncured (etc.) Niman Ranch hot dogs. (I finally
found them--BUT they don't make any claim re floor sweepings now
AND they seem not to be using their own livestock....) One was
wrapped in half of a LC pita, with spicy mustard and dill pickle
relish. The other was bare and consumed with whole-seed Dijon
mustard. A few raspberries. Two coffees: one dark magic, and
one French roast.

I eat hot dogs once every 1-3 years....

Thanks blake. I eventually got that idea, because Andy explained to me that
he would use the jerky as an edible swizzle stick. Nothing wrong with that,
IMHO. It was just that when cybercat said that some folks put meat 'in'
their BMs I didn't think of swizzle sticks, so I was a bit intrigued...
But, then again, maybe I've still got the 'wrong end of the stick' <pun

Yes, I think 2 hot dogs was too much. One was not quite enough,
based on calories, anyway. I guess in the future it will have to
be one and a bit of something else.

Jean B,

2 dogs? depending, could be a bit much.

Are we locally located? I could buy you lunch? Philly?

Maybe?

D--n. I'm blanking. What are those long cylindrical sausage

Slim Jims. Wouldn't they work well?
