A local (northern California) newspaper has an ad from
farmers who do CSA boxes, to be dropped weekly at your
address in the eastbay or San Francisco, that include
"medicinal cannibis, produce, eggs, cheese, and more..."
I have not yet heard a direct report confirming said
drops of boxes of goodies are in fact happening...

fresh vegetables... *expensive fresh* vegetables - they need to sneak
some pot in there to justify the charge.

Thanks. Actually a friend of mine who lives in the US pointed me to their
website.
So as a Californian, what do you think about the initative (or
whatever) to decriminalize, sell, and tax it? Can you imagine the
amount of revenue?

Selling vegetables is a criminal act?
"Your honor [sic], I responded to a 91 and apprehended the accused as he
was trying to talk some school kids into buying avocados, your honor
[sic]."
Well at least it's better than a 647d (Loitering in Restroom...humming
showtunes no doubt).

Yeah, the revenue would be great... but the whole thing could turn
into a real nightmare considering the law of unintended consequences.
However, the California budge crisis wouldn't exist if our fearless
leader had just allowed car registration fees to go back to the
original level when it should have. Do the math... 5 billion a year
of lost tax revenue just about equals our state deficit.
I see somebody finally caught the pun. <g>

What I think is that those responsible for closing the
California budget gap are already smoking it....
