The Cake and the leftovers

that was our 'Friday' night (she works weekends and has Mon-Tues off
and still sore from the Mohel).
I asked her what sort of cake she wanted, she said "Same as last
year!!"

So now we have lots of leftover cake. She took a big chunk to work
today
for the other girls, so that should spark up their morning tea :-)
Anyways, I didn't know 12 people could be sooooo damn noisy!!
I was in the kitchen preparing and serving the hot food, and topping
up
the wine jugs, and cracking bottle after bottle of bubbly. We all
started
at 5pm, and I crawled into bed at 3.30am after the last guest had left
and
I could finally have a shower!!
Part of the night was a cheese tasting.
We had a 1792, an ODO, a Bastard, and a whole Lewis.(We had already
polished off the Gabriel!!)

The rest of the night was finger food...... baked kalamata olives,
smoky
roasted chicken nibblets, sweet chilli chicken meatballs, seafood
spring
rolls, samosas, toasted Italian made ciabatta(to go with the Italian
and
Spanish EVOO for dipping, and a minted beetroot dip), and much more.
No more parties now.......... not for a little while anyways!!
