We don't eat beef at all :) However when we did, one supermarket small
steak...maybe 6 oz, no more than 8 oz, certainly served two of us, as
part of a meal. Same with pork chops...a large chop (no idea what they
weigh) will serve two of us...smaller one not so much.

Say you go into Longhorns or the Texas Road House, Chop,
or where ever you go to have a steak... this usually is the option.
If you only wanted a smaller steak say a 6 oz. sirloin, you order a steak ...
normally your waitstaff will ask as to size.

You are being ripped off, we have four or five per package depending on size.
Each is put in a flash pack when we get them home, and immediately put in the
freezer for later use.

Of course. Most people do. The size of the serving depends on the type
of steak. Most restaurants offer steaks under one pound. While a TBone
or Porterhouse might be as much as a pound, a NY strip steak is more
often 10-14 oz. while a filet would be 5-6 oz.
