Hi folks. I wrote this contra dance and am not in a position
to see it danced locally; so I thought I'd at least post it in
case someone else might find it useful. It was written for the
move in in B1, where the actives turn as a couple and then
roll away with a half sashay as they come back up the set --
something I've been doing as a dancer for a while when a
turn alone is called, and have enjoyed so much I wanted to
spread it around. In general, I'm having good feelings about
the snappy, energetic nature of the roll away; this is a dance
for it.
Since I've only tried it out experimentally to make sure it
works with small sets, any comments would be appreciated.

After Dinner Roll
duple improper
A1 (actives face down, inactives face up)
couples roll away with a half sashay
circle 3/4 (end facing across the set)
women allemande right 1 1/2
A2 swing neighbor on men's home side
(open up facing across the set)
roll away neighbor
inactives do 1/2 figure eight below; as they finish,
actives roll away
B1 actives down the hall, turn as a couple
when almost back to place, roll away
B2 circle left (with original couple)
actives swing (end facing down to dance with new
couple)

If there are local objections to having inactives actually be
inactive, it is perfectly possible to have them join in the
down-the-hall in B1, but they have to turn alone and permit
the actives to do the roll away as they come back up.
Likewise, if your hall has enough space, everyone could
swing in B2.
