If your trainer really believes these things, then he/she is a bigoted, blithering idiot. Now I have know some really turds who were, in fact, good at what they did. Some were even good teachers. But most were shallow folk, good at performing walletectomies upon the unititiated. Or upon the children of the uninitiated.
As for preaching, I leave that to folks who wear their collars backwards.
That's funny...I was just thinking the exact same thing!

I'm sorry, but it has to be said. I've been biting this back for a long time, but I can't keep it bottled up very much longer. LEARN TO SPELL. Learn proper punctuation. I know I'm prone to making a typo, and not punctuating properly, but daaamn....The above paragraph is an atrocity! How old are you? I could construct a better paragraph than this when I was eight!

I don't want to buy into this discussion but I have to say that's a very good call.

Yes we are trying to teach him to go slower, since he still has a jumper mind its working though! he was really good today and yesterday. He usually always good and always pins sometimes he can get a bit fast though. I have a goal to get to WIHS( washington international horse show in Maryland) for the jr hunters.he is turning out to be a great hunter, he learns very fast... Im learning the leg to hand right now.. Im getting it its hard to remember though at times.. and I learnedhow to do the hunter butt thing lol, on myold horse I had to sit and drive him to the jump for the fact he wasa stopper on this one I can sit but I cant drive so i just do the hunter butt.. That was a few things lol I'd be here all night listing and trying to explain to you but OTHER people would bash so im not planning to if you want to talk email me.. Ashley

Oh, great. He doesn't tack his horse, he doesn't braid his mane.... Doesn't shovel stalls...

I do on the first day of a show usually. He doesn't get wild (though he was always very controllable) anymore so i usually dont need a martingale except on rare occaisions. But I do like to use a loose one when there is the possibility of him being hi.

Obviously bill you dont know what your talking about. There are alot of other people showing green horses so I guess lets see scott stewart, holly hays, Don stewart, jennifer jones, amanda baird, the chapots, Margie Goldstein-engle,the leons and other people like them are stupid to because they show green horses. haha surprise I know what im doing so dont start saying I dont know what Im doing because I do. Ah, the arrogance of ignorance. Makes me very sad to think of all the talented and caring kid riders whose parents can't afford to rescue this poor horse. Sigh.

One could split hairs and say that, but then one would have to find you guilty of using the wrong words. Let me make it simple for you:
>LOLOL I think your funny
The word should be "you're"
>. Your the one with the snobby opinions not Rich.
The same applies here--the word should be "you're".
>...I'll tell you one >thing almost everyone in the hunter jumper show world pays there trainer
The correct word here would be "their", and if one wanted to be absolutely grammatically correct, one would not even use that, as it is not in agreement with "everyone". More properly one would employ "his or her", but the usage "their" has become common.
to
>show there horse for them in the pregreens, first years, second years and >regulars.
Once more, the correct word would be "their".
>.. they arent snobby if their trainer rides their >horse for them.
Since you use the correct word here, one might come to the conclusion that you aren't so much dim or ignorant as you are lazy. This might make one wonder if your horsemanship is as sloppy as your writing.
Here endeth the lesson, as I don't even want to get into the issue of punctuation. While I am fairly sure that you and your little friends find such details trivial and even boring, it does limit your ability to communicate with any effectiveness.

Hauls with David to the shows, where he schools _her_. Sheeesh.
They miss half the fun. Braiding is a hoot. I used to have it down to 15 minutes flat... including the tail. Granted, we have folks who braid (and well!) but.. some of us are do-it-yourselfers.
