I have a warning to parents/people. Before you send your son or daughter
to horse camp ask them where they get their horses, what is the condition
of the horses before arrival to camp, etc. You would be amazed at some
of the camps... They rent their mounts from brokers and two weeks before
you or your loved one arrives that mount has been broken in after
spending his/her fall-spring in a paddock without much human contact.
Bless the camps that get horses that are cared for all year...but be
warned. I have seen a 3 year old (horse) with a temperment not suited
for camp work, a five year old who didn't know what this metal thing in
his mouth was for, and other small problems..
Always ask before you shell out the bucks..
