  Elder Trivia Oldest known horses: Old Billy, died in November 1822 at the ripe age of 62 in Woolstone, Lancashire. Tulle, an Icelandic Horse mare, died in 1954 at age 57. Bath Day II 
  After doing a few errands down in Santa Cruz I went to the stable and gave Novia a bath in the wash pen adjacent to the pasture. Her buddy Renegade stuck his head over the fence, so I sprayed his legs and he got closer and closer so I could spray the rest of him. What a day! 
  Got up. Fed dogs, fed cats, brought horses in off the pasture, set up a jump course, tacked up Belles, had a lesson. She has gotten FAT FAT FAT. Man is she an air fern. No more being in the back yard for two hours of better grass. . . they were getting 6-8 hours on a tapped pasture per night, half a bale of hay between five horses for the day, and two hours... more »

not so OT-pop up campers 
  have a hubby who is gung ho on a mission....to find a way to stay at horse shows (overnight ones) and dirt bike races and not have to commute or stay in a hotel (dogs, you know...)
