Dear Friends,

40 years of the War On (the users of some) Drugs and
no end in sight. It has been nothing but a price support for
dealers of illegal drugs, stolen legal drugs, and phony drugs.
It has made states poor paying for imprisonment of mostly
harmless people and has boosted the influence of the Corrective
Officers Unions and the incomes of prison builders.

Oppose S. 605, S. 409, S. 839 and H.R. 1254

Dear [Decision Maker],

Please oppose S. 605, S. 409, S. 839 and H.R. 1254, which would subject
more Americans to mandatory minimum sentences, put more nonviolent
offenders in prison instead of treatment, increase federal spending and
waste taxpayer money. These bills are unnecessary and very problematic
in their current forms.
