Been Playing With Multi Axes Concepts

Dabbled with multi axes turning quite a while back and, while it was
interesting, it was a hit or miss things. Sometimes I'd get a piece
that was interesting - but usually the results were so-so or just plane

Activator and CA glue

Using CA glue as a finish and when activator applied I end up with white spots. I sanded down the pen blank again and applied CA glue without the activator, and had no problem. Could I have been spraying too close to the wood, or maybe air too cool? Open to any ideas.
