Dear Folks - I'm in love!! I've just received my very own Watercolor
Quilts book ($24.95 from That PatchWork Place - 1800 426 3126) yesterday.
I bought it sight unseen because of all the raving that's ben going on on
the Net. The risk sure paid off though - they're absolutely beautiful!
So, since I've dragged my feet so much and missed out on the fabric
exchanges that Gillian is organising, I thought that I'd organise my own
fabric exchange. I'm not sure why 7 is the magic number since I know that
I'll have to buy more than a 6" strip of fabric (what store would sell me
just 6"? Or is this common? so I guess that the numbers of people involved
are only limited to the colours of the rinbow! Hang on - ROY G BIV That's
7!! Duh. We'll see - maybe more people per exchange is feasible.

(Gillian, in case I've gotten your e-mail address wrong, if you haven't
received an e-mail message from me today, e-mail me at
mjpi...@e4e.oac.uci.edu and I'll try to get it right next time. I want to
ask your advice and see if you have any names of people interested in a
later dated exchange - unless you've already organised it, in which case,
please add my name!)

So, if you're interested, give me a buzz at the above address and I'll see
what I can do. For those of you who have yet to see the book - GET IT.
It's well well worth it!

Mary Jane

I have someone that is very interested in this sort of thing but she
would like to know _exactly_ what is a watercolour quilt before she puts
her name to anything. Is this watercolour fabric something new out that
maybe we don't have here in NZ yet? She has never heard of it and as
she's a quilting teacher she would have if it was available here I'm
sure. An explanation of the fabric and/or watercolour quilt would be
appreciated please.

UK watercolour quilt exchange - were there any other people interested
in doing this in the UK? I only had one reply!! (I could certainly use
seeing another copy of the description...) and I don't fancy posting
to/from the states - I sent a parcel on the day after new years and it
got to seattle two days ago!
