To all our friends in Southern Calif., I hope the weather has not had
any bad effects on you. You don't need anymore rain. I'll be praying
for all of you.
Hugs,
Nora
Well, I have been looking for dry wood to start building an ark <g>
We're okay here in Anaheim. Apparently there was a tornado warning for
Orange County this morning, but that was mostly for coastal areas;
waterspouts have been sighted with this latest storm. I was a bit
concerned last night after hearing about a mudslide in Silverado Canyon,
as one of my daughter's friends lives there, but this was in a different
area.

I spewed and rotfl about the ark... and had a thought... GOPHER WOOD in
CA????
I've been watching the weather news too, and thinking about all our friends
there...
Take care, try to stay dry!
Hugs,
Noreen
For anybody with a garden in California, rain is a good thing. The only bad
part is that for the first time in years, we did not fill all the vases full
of daffidills. Over all, not a bad deal weather wise.

That's one thing I really love about all this rain. The flowers are
going to be stunning this year. I heard that there's already been an
'extreme color alert' because of the rain; brings out all the
wildflowers in a big way, to the point where some of the edges of the
freeways are blinding because of the colors.

I don't really have a garden. About a year and a half ago I started
redoing the parking strips in front and alongside the house. The long
part on one side of the house ended up being somewhat neglected - no
sprinklers, and I wasn't able to water it properly with the hose nozzle
I had - and has become overgrown by weeds. Was able to salvage three of
the fountain grasses, which have been growing like crazy with all the
rain. There's also an autumn sage on that side that's doing pretty
good, but I'll probably end up moving it elsewhere when I dig everything
up to redo it again. The strip in front of the house is almost in full
bloom. There are 4 autumn sages, one Mexican sage, and 4 pink breath of
heaven plants in full bloom. Just gorgeous!
Waiting for it to stop raining long enough for me to replant the small
bit we share with the neighbors,
