I tried to e-mail you but my post was returned. I must have missed your
original posting, but I would very much like to have information about a
sewing/quilting/craft show in D.C. Please pass the info on.
Thanks,
Suzanne
The last two years the Expo had many exhibitors, i.e., booths in which to
purchase great fabrics, notions, patterns, books straight from some of the
authors (who will autograph it if asked). I heard it's even bigger this
year. There also are many show specials. Last year I ordered a pinable
SewFit cutting mat at a fabulous price and got free shipping. G Street
Fabrics is usually there offering fabrics, etc. and a special low price on
their mail order fabric swatches. I think it was half price last year.
The Creative Sewing Feet people have been there selling the Pearls n'
Piping, Satin Stitch and Sequins feet at a good price. Several brands of
sewing machines are also on sale although I can't remember which ones. I
think Husq Viking. Small pattern companies with unique designs. You can
find just about every kind of video you could want and many many unusual
notions. It was fun buying notions and stuff directly from Bobbie Carr,
Sandra Betzina, Donna Saylor, etc. Nancy Erikson usually has a great booth
if you are into Chanel, Ferragamo, etc and other designer looks. You get
the idea.
I will be there all day Thursday and Friday to include Nancy Erikson's "not
to be missed" fashion show on Friday evening. Unfortunately, I probably
won't be there on Saturday.
