I have just "lost" my broom cupboard, and, as a result my vacuum cleaner is
without a home.
I would very much like to make a cover for it in the form of a maid. I can
then leave the cleaner in full view and it will look rather more
interesting.
Has anyone ever done anything like this? I am having difficulty with the
cleaner handle as it slopes and I am not quite sure how to tackle this
problem. Any ideas?
My thanks,
Mary
I made a vacuum cover in the form of a bunny and it is very cut standing in the
laundry room greeting us as we come and go . My vacuum is also a hoover , with
a sloped handle and I haven't had a problem with cover fitting on it .
I got my pattern at craft fair , and I can't remember if there wasa maid or
not maybe you could write them and ask . Their address is

My sister made one for her vacuum, and it is SOOOO cute!! It's a bunny (a
pretty girl bunny). If my vacuum didn't have its own cupboard, it would
definitely have a bunny!

I used the McCalls Crafts pattern 752. It looked nice and did a fine job
covering the vaccuum. My vaccuum also has the curved handle. I think the
head sits a little more to the front than an ordinary bunny would to
compensate for this.
Have fun! Cristie
