NAYYY. I ordered a pattern from Lori Smith, directly from her website at [link] on Monday, the 9th. Now, keeping in mind that yesterday was a holiday, imagine my surprise when I went to the mailbox today and my order was there. Not only that, but in the package along with a personal note from Lori... more »

OT, sort of - stitching problem with Bernina 440QEE
|
| |
I finally decided to get a Bernina 440 QEE. I've never owned a Bernina. I was happy with the store model. However, I'm having a !!$#@##!! time with the new one now that I'm home. I haven't even gotten to the embroidery module or the BSR. I'm just trying to get a nice, normal, straight stitch. I've carefully followed the threading... more »

OT: Quiet for a while
|
| |
Hey there, I'm going to be quiet for a little while. Nothing bad, just got a lot of things requiring immediate attention and energy and that means pulling back here so I can push a bit there. Don't worry, I'll be thinking about everybody and keep you in my prayers. And I expect to see lots of new pics in a few days when I pop back in.... more »

I will be going away for 3 1/2 months , will it do any damage to leave the quilt pinned or should I take them out. Ruby... more »

FMQ question
|
| |
I am starting a lapquilt that will have directional quilting, meaning left to right or top to bottom. I know you are supposed to start in the center of the quilt, and I might still do that, but... what is you were to start at a side and work to the middle, then start the other side and work to the middle. I will be doing loop de loops.... more »

More Zimmy!
|
| |
This grandmother of the bride needs to take myself to the veil and do some pearling. I need quickly, however, to mention to Zimmy: (1) welcome and (2) maybe your beginning with triangles puzzle is simply how they are pictured in patterns. All too often, an illustration will show a point of a triangle all the... more »
