One of our DDs has a friend whose toddler DD goes to the same preschool
as DD's younger son. Said little girl has been using one of the school's
generic blankets when it's nap time. I happened to have a preprinted
alphabet panel lying around, so that little girl will now have a quilt
to take back to preschool next semester. It's a very simple little quilt
-- just the panel, some borders and very basic quilting. It's at
<http://www.sandymike.net/html/baby.html#Olivia_quilt>. Now perhaps I
should start getting things done about our family's Christmas? ;)

It's beautiful! Olivia is one really lucky girl, and you are a generous

That green border really sets the panel off. It actually looks a lot like
the lime green that I used for DD Attic Windows quilt.

Precious quilt, wonderful panel. I can remember when there were very few
little folks panels available and they were mighty flimsy. I'm so glad you
made sure that little friend has a 'real' naptime beauty. Polly

I know -- it boggles the mind, doesn't it? ;) But I just didn't have
time to do any intricate quilting on this one. <g>

You never fail to surprise me with your work!
Looking at the panel, I would never have picked out that glorious
emerald green for a border. Marvellous! It's a beautiful blankie.
She'll love it.

Oh, Sandy! What you have done for this precious little girl....
you made her feel like she fits in. A quilt does many many
small wonders.

I honestly don't know what colors are her favorites, but I did put a
"feminine" pink/green floral on the back, just in case. ;)

Thanks, Pat. :) It actually already had the green and white checks as a
"fake" border, so the green (it's really green-on-green dots, but you
can't see that in the photo) worked out quite well.

Adorable, Sandy! I'm so glad the little one will have a blanket of her
very own. :-)

What a wonderful nap blanket, what a lucky little girl.

Your very basic quilting is still some of the best around.

Uh ... yes, and I'm *way* behind on baking and shopping. The baking will
be severely limited this year, though, since I have to watch my
cholesterol all of a sudden. :( My doctor doesn't like my numbers, even
though the high total is due to a really good HDL number. :(
