Why is is that the same day that the letters come home from school
offering the vaccination for the swine flu, is the same day that 50+
kids are off sick with suspected swine flu? The letter was from the
departmental health authority and nothing to do with school, but hey
what timing......

Why do things like this happen, coincidence is a strange thing.....

There are only 360 kids in the school, so I suspect it will be shut to
avoid the outbreak spreading, although knowing teenagers and it is
France and it is bad manners not to kiss on both cheeks, I suspect that
it is already too late! Mind you, we won't find out until Wednesday if
they are going to be closed, because the teachers are on strike tomorrow.

C'est la vie!!!!

Anyway, now watching DD like a hawk, but apart from teenager behaviour
all seems normal, well as normal as they are at 14 going on 15! The
upside is because of the strike she will be coming with DM and myself to
our quiting group tomorrow afternoon - 3 generations sewing together....

Happy quilting,

Ha! The GMNT, Himself and I all got the jab last Wednesday. Called in
by the doc... Himself is 'vulnerable' because he's type 1 diabetic, so
we all get it as a precaution. I feel generally weary and achy - moreso
than usual with a fibro flare, so I think I feel iky because of the jab,
doubled because it set off another flare. And my left arm feels like it
was hit with a lead pipe. It came up in a lump that is too painful to
touch *still*, and is slightly red and itchy.

We all have very sore arms. I hope you get a lesser reaction.

Hope that you are all feeling better. Sometimes the cure is worse than
the ailment, but probably not with this flu. We're not any vulnerable
list, just all young people and children throughout the country via the
education system, are getting this jab. Parents and others will then
get ours later. Because so many are having it, the Doctors here aren't
actually doing them, mobile units are giving them out on presentation of
a letter from the local health authority.

Keep well
