And the same to you and to all of us here at rctq. Even if you don't
have Turkey have a happy day. I'm hoping for just a little time to get
some sewing done now that my daughter and her husband have taken over
all the dinner prep.

Happy Thanksgiving! Even though the "wrong" side of the pond we are
still celebrating in our house today as it is DS1's 12th birthday.
Doesn't seem that long ago since he arrived looking like a squashed frog
- DH's words, not mine :-)

My wishes for everyone to have a day filled with family and friends,
or on the quiet side, whichever is your wish.

My niece gave birth to her first child this morning at 4:30AM Pacific
Time, three weeks early. All are fine, Sophie Marie is healthy. I
imagine they have some big blessings today.

Congrats to Great Aunt Ginger, and welcome to the world, Sophie Marie. My
first great niece was born in September, and we had the opportunity to spend
today with her and the rest of the family. It's been a blessed day, and
while we missed a couple of the relatives we lost during the last year,
we're thankful for all those who are still with us and able to share the
day. And it's not over! Our nephew is currently up at Grandma's house, but
will be spending the night and tomorrow with DH and me - at some point over
the weekend, he'll go to another aunt's house, and our niece will have a
sleepover here. Fun!

Although the day is nearly over, best wishes to all for a happy
Thanksgiving. Among the many things I'm thankful for is this group - for the
friendship, the laughter, the sharing, our mutual love of quilting, the
things we have in common, and our differences. It's the best group around!
