Yesterday my husband brought the mail in, handed me an envelope and
watched me with a questioning look. I glanced at the return address and
tore open the envelope as eagerly as if there were a million dollars
inside. My husband was thoroughly confused at my joy over a picture of
a bear surrounded by fruit and roses (my darling, some things must be
felt and cannot be explained).

This is an exceedingly handsome bear, with a glimmer of mischief in his
eyes. He wears a natty vest. The photograph is nicely done; fruit,
roses and bear are artfully arranged against wooden tray as a backdrop.
Perhaps our Mack is an accomplished photographer as well as an author,
ace detective, and eagle-eyed observer of everyday life.

Thanks, Mack. Will keep the picture in my sewing room. I should be
able to get the promised bear-sized quilt out by the end of the week.

Uhm...it doesn't concern you at all that this man (whom I assume you don't
even know) has your home address. The address of where you
live....eat....work...and sleep?? I myself find that kinda creepy. (No
offense Mack..I'm sure you're a fine person.) But I though us ladies today
would be a bit more leary of a stranger finding out where we live. Eeep!

Do you realize that anyone who is in a phonebook can be found on the
internet very easily? Not giving out your address in an e-mail or on
this ng will not keep anyone who wants it from finding your address &
phone #.

Steph, everybody in the world has your address!! All the utility
Companies, all of the magazines, every bank in the US that sells credit
cards, every charity soliciting money,---and they all sell your address
to others for a price! If you want to worry, think of all the creeps
who work for the companies soliciting over the phone--If they have your
phone number they can cross reference (illegally) back to your address.
Think of that the next time you get nasty with one for calling during
dinner! Red Queen
