Flower Bouquet Fabric

I'm a real newbie at quilting as am just finishing my first quilt. And I am
amazed at how well I think it is turning out. But I am not very experienced
at purchasing the fabrics needed to make a great quilt really grand.

Can anyone help me find a fabric that is bouquets (medium size) of flowers.
This new pattern I purchased yesterday requires bouquets not just random
flowers. The fabric they used in the photo is in blue and I'm just not into
blues. Would prefer pinks and greens but would consider other colors if I
can also add the pinks and greens.

I have been all over the net looking but haven't come up with very many
sites for purchasing fabric online.

Sure would appreciate any help I can get.

I have a pattern put away for future use. It is "Summer Bouquet Wreath" by
The Quilt Company. It was displayed along with the fabrics to make it. I
purchased enough to do the wallhanging. This pattern uses a fabric with
flower bouquets that are rather large. You cut the fabric into strips, then
cross cut into squares. They are then divided into piles according to how
much floral they contain: 100%, 75%, etc. They are then arrange so that a
wreath design is formed with the flowers. The wreath block is surrounded by
a white picket fence border. The sample in the shop was beautiful! I bought
the fabric with the light blue background, but I have also seen it in other
background colors, not nearly as pretty IMHO. If this fabric sounds like it
might work for you, I will try to find it again. I stop at many different
shops, so I'm not sure where I have seen it. I'm not driving quite as much
as usual yet, so it might take me awhile to find it. Let me know if I can be

I have started a bouquet wreath wallhanging and it sounds like the same one Ms.
Bigbearlady referred to with the picket fence around it. The LQS offered kits
of the fabric and directions (don't remember the cost). It would be hard to
change the background fabric with the bouquet fabric in this kit since it is a
watercolor wreath and the background fabric needs to match. If you are
interested, I would be glad to see if they still have the kits available. A
picture of this wallhanging appeared in many quilting magazines last summer.

Welcome from another Texan. There is a fairly new
line of fabrics, put out by P&B, called Summer Bouquet
or something similar. It has the bouquets of flowers
that you are looking for. Right now, I don't remember
any web sites where it is selling, but you can look at
it on the P&B site:

I will try to look around tomorrow to find a web
site where you can buy the fabric.

the fabric at my 30 miles away LQS...and it is a Northcutt.

So how is the pattern working out? What size did you cut your blocks? I plan
on cutting them 2.5", since the pattern is given for these measurements. How

It is intersting!! Have to cut your squares (2 1/2') into "proportional"
flowers...sparse flowers, then 25%. 50%, 75% then 100% flowers. Then
arrange the squares and the bakground fabric (like a watercolor) on a
flannel board to form the wreath. Looks really good after you play a
while, and cut some specific proportions. I am hand piecing mine because
the sewing room is packed up with boxes. I think it is going to be
beautiful in m y new foyer. We move on the 26th, BTW. And my e-mail addy
