Clover "Ultimate Scissors"

I was browsing some on-line quilt shops and ran across some Clover
"Ultimate Scissors". Looking on the Clover web site, I saw:

Does anyone have expericence with the scissors? Are they really
"ultimate"?

I have reservations, particularly with regard their being "ultimate".
The website is nothing but a continuous string of meaningless
advertising terms; there is no substance. There was recently a thread
on this group about scissors. If you're interested/shopping for some,
I'd review that thread, and visit some LQSs where you can "test drive"
some quality scissors. If you're really interested in these, I'd be
sure to check out their return/refund policy if you're not satisfied.

I have 2 sizes of the Clover Patchwork scissors, a little further down the
page. They have serrated edges which are really great at gripping the
fabric. I was a little disappointed that the larger ones aren't sharper
than they are. But you can cut fabric while holding it up. I guess I must
do that a lot, because I use the smaller scissors quite a bit.

I really like all the Clover products I've purchased. I'm amazed at how
many I own. If it's Clover or Bohin, I'm probably going to try it out.

I will try the "ultimate" scissors when I see them.

I asked about scissors before. I listened there were two brands highly
recommended. One I couldn't afford yet. So I bought some Gingher on
ebay, way cheaper then what I could have got them in store. And I am
amazed at how easy it is to cut fabric with them. Even though initially
I thought they were heavy but so far I'm really pleased with them. And
love the sleeve that came with them.

I probably should have mentioned my retirement in a separate message.
After I get rested up a little, I hope to get back to doing some
quilting. I started a quilt around April 2008 for my older DS and it
has just sat there for over a year waiting to be completed.

I also see that I accidentally logged in with my "gmail" ID, rather
than "yahoo", with which you are all familiar. I got the gmail
address because yahoo kept dumping DJ (Dear Jane) group e-mails in
with SPAM. I did not intend to use it for anything else, so I'll try
to be a bit more careful in the future. I hope that either a DJ or DH
(Dear Hannah) quilt will be a future project, so I'm just listening in
for now.
