Hi Everyone,
Thanks for the warm welcome.......
Some ladies were interested in where I was from.
I live on the Central Coast of NSW Australia.
The weather is gorgeous at this time of year, just going into Autumn (your
Fall). Warm days with cool nights.
The wildflower quilt I'm working on is my own design. I am using hand
painted fabrics on a black background with embroidered wording - such as
'Where do you dwell, sweet Christmas Bell?
The Christmas Bell is my favourite wildflower, and as the name suggests, is
in flower at Christmas time. The flowers are red at the top and go into a
scallopy bottom that is bright yellow. I am using my own fabric, so can
paint the colours I need.
I've only just started this, so am not quite sure of the outcome. That's how
I work - never imagine the finished quilt, and it evolves with it's own
personality!
The chocolate lady might like to know that I just ate a Caramello
bear.......do you have those in USA?

Caroline: Oh my, your project sounds
GORGEOUS! You are painting the flowers
directly on the black fabric? Cotton?
Once this moves along you will have ot
post pictures (though not right here ...
do a web site and post that info.)

I believe your referred to me .... "The
Chocolate Lady" (?!) ..... I do not
think we have Caramello Bears in USA,
kindly send a few ... for testing
purposes of course! ;-) BTW: your
Autumn/Fall is our Spring .... well any
how the seasons change next week .....
except for me and family ..... we
decided it was getting too much of
hassle to change name with the seasons
so are sticking with just the one. 8-D

I think for the comparative chocolate study that I am initiating forthwith
you should forward several of those caramello bears to Canada for
investigation. Even the way the word c a r a m e l l o rolls off ones tongue
is decadent, please send ten!! LOL

Welcome to our group, your project sounds lovely you really must send
pictures when its done and keep us posted. By the way what does a christmas
bell wildflower look like, I am imagining a fragile bell shape in red
perhaps..........
