Before I left on my vacation, I received a commission to make a quilt
for a young child from one of my tennis buddies. (She had bought my
Texan Cowboys quilt last year). I showed her only a few patterns to
limit her choice and within my quilting 'limits' LoL.
She immediately chose this one, which is a pattern by Pat Varney for
Diamond Textiles and wanted the same colour ways as in the magazine.
The pattern was for a square quilt and my friend Mary wanted a
rectangle so I added strips top and bottom. It is my quilt name. Pat
called it Dog World Quilt.
As I do not have children/grandchildren myself, this was a different
project for me! It was really fun to make. The ears and tails of the
dogs are sewn into the seams and hang free, then tacked into different
positions.
I have Judy in Maine (rctq) to thank for helping me find the
background fabric. I had about given up finding a white background.
Thank you Judy! It is so cute, that fabric. The prairie points are
my first effort at those.

What a really fun quilt, Bronnie. Lovely idea and great fabrics. The
youngster is going to love playing with his/her 'doggies'.
Prairie points are terrific!

That is really cute. Any kiddo would love that quilt.
The points on the edges set it off perfect.
Cute stuff.

Oh gosh, Bronnie, that quilt is just adorable! It does look like a fun
one to do. And your prairie points came out just perfect. :-)

Thanks ladies for all the nice comments, appreciate it. It would be a
great quilt to auction for a charity wouldn't it?
It will get shipped off in the next day or two.
